He thinks that he's "running me off", i.e. he thinks that by immediately responding to every post I make, I'll somehow become frustrated and leave WF. Yeah, I don't get the logic either, but that's what's going on in that brain. Dude has an abnormal obsession with conservatives.

I'm more interested in finding out what happened here with this missile. If it was a foreign nation, the government would not tell the public as it would cause a huge panic. We already think they're incompetent - if we found out they can't even defend our homeland, there's no telling what we'd do.

Its also a great fear inducing device for the masses, I find it quite interesting there is no official word on this. A missle flying around and no explination? What about a detonation ? Where did it go? Oh I see it went to outer space hmmm

WASHINGTON (AP) -- The Pentagon Tuesday said it was trying to determine if a missile was launched Monday off the coast of Southern California and who might have launched it.

Spokesmen for the Navy, Air Force, Defense Department and North American Aerospace Defense Command said they were looking into a video posted on the CBS News website that appears to show a rocket or some other object shooting up into the sky and leaving a large contrail over the Pacific Ocean.

The video was shot by a KCBS helicopter, the station said Tuesday.

"Nobody within the Department of Defense that we've reached out to has been able to explain what this contrail is, where it came from," Pentagon spokesman Col. Dave Lapan said. "So far, we've come up empty with any explanation."

Lapan said officials are talking to the Air Force, Navy and NORAD as well as civilian authorities who control and monitor air space.

"Right now, all indications are that there was not (Department of Defense) involvement in this," Lapan said, adding that some object might have been launched by a private company.

Officials had no information to make them suspect that the action was taken by any U.S. adversary.

"At this point, until we know more information about what it may have been, there is not alarm," Lapan said. "But that could change depending on what we find out."
 
Someone launched a missile 35 miles of the coast of Long Beach.

So its not a country attacking us since it was launched away from us off our coast.

Its not a amateur since Camp Pendelation and every military base would shoot down a "unknown missile" near L.A.

This is not new. We launch missiles all the time just someone caught them this time.

Iran, N. Korea, etc don't have the capability. It's NOT trivial, as has been noted. There have been several NASTY failures in the past and any nation that has the capability has tested it, and when you test, we can see it. Therefore, we know who CAN do it.

It's either Russian or Chinese, and I can't come up with a reason for Russia to do it.

It has to be a Chinese rocket, simply by process of elimination.

If it is, we were just served a VERY severe warning where several MILLION Americans could see it. That wasn't intended as a warning to our President, it was intended as a warning to our PEOPLE.
