How can they enforce such a 10 year rule? I could leave tomorrow and move to any number of countries and the IRS would never see another penny from me.
No matter how gangsta you are, the government is more gangsta.
In before the next UK/Eurotrash member defends paying high taxes 'for the public good'.
High tax bracket (~avg 35% income tax) + 15% self employment tax + 10% CA state tax + 12.50% Los Angeles sales tax = 62 mothafuckin percent is what I'm paying. I'm reading Atlas Shrugged, and if anyone's read that book so many things are similar with it it's making my head spin.
I want to point out that most people are happy to pay for health care, policing and education. The problem is, the government provides those services without competition, and without cost accountability. It's hard to define the big expenses as being for the public good. I'm happy to pay for healthcare, policing, education but that's small change compared to bailing out the banks and killing muslims.
This country is done. I'd say it has another 10 years maybe before something drastic happens. Collapse, war, major political shift, something
As worthless as this member is, i'm gonna have to agree here.
Ten? I give it two, three.
US->Mo is a tough process, yes. And ultimately not even profitable due to US citizens being prisoners of an oppressive regime. You guys are captives of your irs.I have a friend from Monaco. She pays ZERO income tax. Too bad it's almost impossible to get citizenship.
One Interpol warrant reduces this 195 to less than 10...Well sure that's kind of the idea ... there are 195 other countries on earth ... I could quite happily spend the rest of my life in these other countries and never return to the US.
Amen.It is remarkable that people vote with the hope of thwarting the state's relentless pursuit toward central planning. How many people on this forum - arguably, some of the best-informed folks around - continue to go to the polls and vote "their guy/gal" into office, hoping things will change?
Ron Paul aside, every politician is for expanding the state, despite what he or she claims. Every politician is for expanding the empire. Every politician will aggressively protect the state's ability to inflate the money supply and manipulate interest rates.
And of course... of course, every politician is for the collection of taxes. So what if the left wants 50% and the right wants 30%? It is akin to one thief saying he'll take your wallet, watch, and wedding ring while another argues he will only your wallet and watch.
When you voted for Obama or McCain, did you believe differently? When you voted for Bush or Gore, did you believe differently? When you go to the polls and vote in the future, will you believe that somehow, this time will be different?
We already know where this path is leading. The question is how long it takes to get there. Artificially low interest rates and continued Fed tinkering to juice the economy merely perpetuate the illusion of a solid recovery.
The only solution is to return to a system that upholds a free market, maintains a sound currency, and completely eliminates any encroachment upon private property. Given the power, money, and status available to the statists who turn their backs on such ideas, is our optimism warranted?
I understand why the free riders vote for these charlatans; they receive the confiscated loot. I do not understand why informed people vote for them. Essentially, it is a vote for less liberty.

The inflation we are about to experience is going to be mind blowing
