Really?I've had numerous ads on POF start out with very low CTR's and then rise to acceptable levels. If you're nuking ads after 12 clicks, then I dunno...

That's a nice CTR, grats. About the demo size though, I can't remember the exact number, but there are millions of POF users in the US. If your campaign's dying quickly targeting broad, it may just be that the CTR's lower, cause you're less targeted, so it seems like it's going down the tube, but until you've actually burnt through the userbase (i.e. many millions of imps) personally, I'd consider it testing, to see which demos convert best. You may be surprised, imo.Here are some results from one campaign.
Total Spending: $15.03
Impressions Delivered: 33394
Clicks: 67
CTR: 0.201%
CPC: $0.22
Here is the Demo
Country = United States
Gender = Male
Ethnicity = Caucasian
Login Count ≤ 50
Religion = Christian
Session Depth Between
1, 10
With broad targeting, the ads die real quick. I will re-run with a bigger budget and tighter demo base on my previous stats.
