Also, years ago I saw an issue of a South African communist journal and the cover had a banner that said, "Long live the ANC-South African Communist Party Alliance!" When I was in college, I had a black roommate for a short while. He loved Mandela, so I plastered flyers of that cover around campus. The next day he held a black student union meeting in our dorm room and suggested I leave as all the member wanted to kill me. Of course, I left.
