In general, I'd agree. But sometimes things are a bit more complicated than they seem. We moved about two years ago and took a number of steps to limit some of this stuff.

But other things are just life. And, taking into consideration all the nuances of a rather complex family structure, paying off a nut bag here and there is easier than dealing with it.

Heh, I let myself get dragged into something this thread wasn't supposed to be about. I'm really freaked out by not being able to dev like I used to, or play as effectively, I probably can't climb any more, etc. I know I'll get used to it but I can't stop feeling like I've lost something more than just feeling int a finger.

Hopefully I'll get some better news on Thursday but I'm not holding my breath.

God damn, that makes me furious. It's a total mind fuck that this useless fucking animal did huge harm to your quality of life and work life.

Fucking A man. That sack of shit is lower than a dog. Most dogs are actually well behaved and show unconditional love to their family members.

I hope when you kneed him in the face, that you broke his fucking nose.

I typically like to think I'm above that shit, but let's be honest, I hope the same thing.

I feel you man, and you did lose more than the feeling of the finger. Before you'll be able to come to terms with it, you'll see every aspect of your life that it will affect. Then gradually you'll see everything you have left and hopefully adjust your situation accordingly so you don't have to deal with or risk this happening in the future.

Your scenario could of played out a number of different ways, some which could of been better, some could of been much worst. That pen could of ended in your eye, that bite could of gave you Hep C etc.. I've had a finger ripped right off my hand in an assault, so most everything going through your mind went through mine at some point.

At this very moment you're the victim in all of this, however if you don't use this incident as a catalyst for untangling yourself from those who wish to leech and even harm you, you'll only have yourself to blame in the future.

Family. Fine, story

I have a bunch of crazy family, if I'm on WF for long enough you'll hear about them all, but this was my aunt and her boyfriend.

My aunt is mid 50's, HIV positive, lost her kids to the state years ago, doubt she's had a job since I was a kid.

I've been giving her money to keep her from fucking up life for myself and extended family for a while.

I went out and dropped off a chunk, told her it had to last for X amount of time and her boyfriend told me it wasn't enough. Turned back to my aunt and told her if it wasn't enough she should get a job and I'd keep the money, and that I'd rather burn it than give it to her anyway.

Her boyfriend grabbed at the envelope, a bit of tugging, words were exchanged, and he fucking bit my finger. I dropped the cash, howled, kneed him in the face as he went for the money, and as I checked out my wound I got pen stabbed by my aunt.

I ran out of that place like someone suggested I stay the night. Left the cash and good riddance.

I can't stress enough how much of a disaster this woman is, and the nightmare she brings with her. It's easier to just pay her, eventually she'll die. One can only hope.

Shit me that is pretty crazy man!!

Looks like cutting them off completely is the only way to go and not give them a free ride if they are not appreciative!!

Hope you finger gets better dude. Although at least you still got it and can use it, if nothing comes back then you will get used to it feeling (or not feeling) the way it is.
