New Thread Fee in Links & SEO $122?

It is retarded to force sellers to create a new thread every 2 week, let them launch 1 service and keep that thread live for 6 months (and pay a monthly fee of $400/month - 1 time per month). It sucks for the seller to have to launch a new thread and keep posting reviews and shit - to new customers it looks like its a new service without any track record, but if the thread had been live for a month and it has some reviews posted by the buyers them selves .... you get the point.

Keep shit simple mane.

fuck i should have created a thread a few weeks ago!

Don't worry, the good news is, you're still able to create them. I was getting nervous for a little while, but alas BST/SBT LIVES!

I like hobbsters system He's circumventing the rising costs of threads by consolidating his offerings into one, neat thread. If you sell something that works, you can confidently start a thread knowing you will make back your ROI tenfold. If your service is iffy or provides marginal results, these are the guys Jon is trying to eliminate.

On the other hand, it sucks to be a buyer and go through those 20 plus pages of comments as is the case on other forums. The wickedfire method makes sellers put in some effort which is good for buyers and therefore good for those sellers who deliver to their clients.

I remember when it was free, and Jon was already balling at the time. Now he's probably the world's 3rd biggest economy or something like that.

I agree with what others have said in that this isn't a big deal for sellers that sell larger services. But it really does limit options for buyers and forces those that sell smaller services out of the market.

Why not implement a normal section and a "premium" section, or something similar? Anything over $XX (say, $50 or so) amount has to post in the premium section and pay premium prices for threads. Those with smaller services pay less, and are still able to do business here without being priced out.

This is especially concerning for buyers with pretty much every other message board based marketplace seemingly going down the shitter as of late in my experience. It was much better dealing with people that sold $10 services on wickedfire than it was on BHW. Sometimes people just want to buy a simple one off service, which seems to be disappearing rapidly from WF.

People have made a lot of money through WF through the years.

As long as you can get a hold of a BST mod when you need it (as a vendor) then the fee seems reasonable.

I am sure if there is enough demand for lower priced listings, someone will step up with a solution either here or somewhere else.

Markets work if you're willing to let them work.

not that anybody cares what I think and I don't really use sbt but, the thing about the threads auto-locking every couple weeks to me seems that a seller could open a thread and give out a few free reviews during those couple weeks and they could be positive, the thread locks and then the seller can take their time on delivering, and people could be having issues with orders being delivered in a timely manner, meanwhile the seller continues to get business because people see the thread and see the reviews are positive but, nobody can reply with the slow delivery or any issues because the thread is locked. Somebody could just open a thread and deliver positive work and gather all the positive reviews until the thread locks and then just start slacking off and nobody can say anything.

man the fuck up and compete.

diversify your income streams. If you dont like it, dont pay it. its simple supply and demand. eventually the right price point will be found, if you cant compete you're done. Survive and thrive.

No you didn't.
#nobitter pls

My second BST thread was a service that did around $1.5 mill gross in the first year. It wasn't all from WF, but it started on WF.

And the thread was free.

Although we did spend like $5k advertising on WF back when you could buy banners.
