My second BST thread was a service that did around $1.5 mill gross in the first year. It wasn't all from WF, but it started on WF.
And the thread was free.
Although we did spend like $5k advertising on WF back when you could buy banners.

I've never been good with names, drip blaster or something like that where they would give you like 4k blog posts perday in exchange for a monthly fee. I remember wanting to join, then remembered I'm a peasant so i went back to no money and :love-smiley-086:I'm curious, what service were you offering?
On the other hand, it sucks to be a buyer and go through those 20 plus pages of comments as is the case on other forums. The wickedfire method makes sellers put in some effort which is good for buyers and therefore good for those sellers who deliver to their clients.
I am sure if there is enough demand for lower priced listings, someone will step up with a solution either here or somewhere else.
Markets work if you're willing to let them work.
For 100 a month I will create a post in BST with your service linked in it to your wufoo form. Let me know I am only accepting 100 services in my 1 post.
For a premium location (1-3) it is $200, 4-10 is $150.
(im totally kidding,)
From a perspective just as a buyer:
I think I ordered 3 services from old, closed threads this week. The argument about 'restricting choice for buyers' is not something I really agree with. I searched for the service, found the thread (despite being closed), checked the reviews and feedback from prior threads, checked if the order form was still live (and contacted the seller if necessary) to make sure they were still offering the service and away we went.
With an increase in price, buyers can still find the service they need and so from a predominantly buyers POV, I don't see a problem. A more premium price would also more likely filter out people selling services who a) don't give a shit and/or b) would scam their own mother. Not met anyone like that here - just last week in fact I ordered some niche blogposts from Joe_Hughes. Within a few minutes he'd emailed me with concerns about the target site, we had a back and forth and shortly after he sent through a full refund. No issues, no delays - just good business.
Arguably (though not always the case for sure) if a seller is willing to open a thread at these prices, chances are you can trust them.
My $0.02
Do you really want to compete with me? Nah, you'd probably want to avoid that scenario.
