Now that I have been reading and gaining a rudimentary understanding of SEO black hat, I cooked up an idea that may be original. You tell me.
At first, I dreamed up the unoriginal concept of putting hidden html code onto a page, thereby giving the search engines some link bait. Reading further, I learned this is considered spam, and a no-no. Scratch that.
Thinking it over a bit, I figured out how you can do this legally: put the code visibly on the page, but make it very tiny, match the back ground color and shove it into a lonely edge on your site. Nobody's gonna click that or see it, and you have given yourself a referral link that is technically kosher with the search engines.
