No Excuses 3 - Official Thread

I would really like it if some of those top ranking guys started some diaries and explained a bit more about their success but I guess that might threaten their ranking.

Okay, NE3 ends in a few days: Midnight July 18th. So, whatever revenue is generated by then counts for the contest.

Good luck! Keep up the good work!

I'm going to have a webinar with the winner sometime soon afterwards (within a week) and try to get Smaxor to join in as well. I'll announce the date and time here and on Ads 4 Dough Help || Helping you make more money
I will be there,

Also might be a little early but what is going on for NE4?

NE4?!? OMG, please kill me now. :hollering:

Well, I'm not sure if I'm up for NE4 anytime soon. If there are some volunteers that want to help out and have some killer ideas, I'm willing to listen.

Not saying there won't be one, but probably not right away.

Anywho.....

With less than 48 hours remaining in the contest, here's the top ten:

[450755] $1598
[447626] $685
[447187] $459
[450763] $364
[450714] $350
[445869] $333
[450866] $280
[447056] $212
[450974] $187
[450791] $178

Wow! 450755 is killing it!

I got to be honest guys, I'm proud of everyone. Whether you made the top ten or not, the response to NE3 has been nothing short of incredible! IMHO, I feel like NE3 has accomplished it's goal of getting newbies out there doing something and learning the ropes, rather than just reading and wishing.

I HOPE that most of you have learned that DOING is the best way to learn affiliate marketing.

Can't wait to see who the winner is.

Special thanks go out to:
Jason - aka Smaxor - owner, A4D for putting up the prize money, paying for the server and domains
Lee - aka Uplinked - the man behind the scenes, A4D's top programmer for creating the tool so I could pull the leaders
All the A4D AM's. They've been invaluable assisting affiliates and even jumping on last week's webinar and answering questions
Josh - aka Erect - for selflessly providing keyword reports for participants of NE3 (BTW, the paid ones are totally worth it!)
Everyone of you! Without you, the participant, there would have been no NE3. Thanks everyone!

I notice some of those ID's :)

& of course Big Ups to Big Mike, the man w/ the master plan! I've been hearing a lot of great feedback from our publishers. Was a great medium/tool to get some newer affiliates feet wet in the affiliate marketing game.

Here's to NE.....4! hahaha

Even though I'm in the top 10, I wish I had more time to work on my stuff... Just moved in my new (and first) apartment and well it has taken most of my time these past weeks, oh well! Thumbs up to everyone involved in NE3!

By the way, Mike, what's the name of the tool you talked to me about on AIM, the click heat one, can't remember!

I only had a couple hundred bucks to work with (family and all) and broke even in the end (pre-contest) - I'm out for a few months to come up with spending money.

But, want to thank Mike, et al for all their efforts - offering all their time for free was just awesome and more than appreciated.

And the winner is...

450755 with a total revenue of $1598

Congrats! I'll get in touch with you in the next day or two, and I'll contact Smaxor to let him know.

Congrats. I would have pushed harder, but I was running a losing campaign in the first place. Of course, we'd all like to know your secrets now.

Hey, Congrats #450755!

And a sincere thanks to SEO Mike, erect and everybody else that took the time to help along the way. I learned a lot... which was my goal.

My new goal is to master it.

Congratulations to the winner and a big thank you again to Mike, Erect and the A4D guys (specifically Arthur in my case).

Thanks to SEO Mike and everyone at A4D for the help and motivation. I've learned a lot through this process. Lost some money, but acquired some useful knowledge. Congrats to the winner. I'm going to write up something about what I've learned / observed that may help other noobs out there. Thanks again guys...

Congrats to Everyone for getting into the Game. That was the whole point to this after all. Now that you all have got your feet wet hopefully you continue to learn and work on it.

Would really love to see a good post mortem on some of the winners (and losers) if people don't mind sharing some of their secret sauce.

hi all,
i've been absent from the Noexcuses thread for few weeks. why? 'taking action' heheheh.

i took the seo / organic path for a test of 1 a4d offer (plan to promote other offers, of course). and after 10 days live for review blog, start to see my blog on page 1 thru to page 6 for a few targetted (optimized) and unexpected keywords. so i am happy with the serp progress. and will continue promotion efforts to raise and maintain the serp rankings.

when i check my a4d report page, i see clicks but low conversions. based on this, it is easy to start to question the offer, the power of the merchant's page, the economy or any other reason why the visitors to the merchant's page are not converting. of course it is early days for my campaign, only 50 clicks to merchant's page and 1 sale. but i can see my thinking becoming negatiive and and blaming the 'offer' or the 'merchant's lander' or lazy browsers not prepared to reach for their credit card... any number of blames and reasons...

but then some wise words from seo-mike.. :) buzzed mike and was gifted by a few minutes of his time and words and directed to some 'readings'
diorex.com/testing-is-for-the-rich/

thanks mike

so, the plan is to throw up another site, different offer but in the same vertical and use a different lander style, not blog review but try one of those 1page landers, slick with the BIG buy now button. this style may help the lazy and vision impared browsers. heheeh. test test test.

as noted above, i am pleased and encouraged with my organic progress in the serps. but as mike said, those browsers that click on ads are in a buying mindset, while those that click on organic listings may still be in research and price comparison mindset. therefore if i am on the organic path, then my lander must work to convert the browser mindset into a buyer mindset.

that is the mike juice. heheeh

till next time, take care all

1 convert out of 50 clicks is 2%, for such a statistically small sample that's not that bad really. Assuming you are running a typical $35 payout rebill, that's 70 cent EPC for free traffic. Nothing wrong with that.

thanks for the encouragement :)

Thanks for ur encouraging words... I guess we have many demons to manage in this business, psychological ones included. heheh

It can be easy to get frustrated if we do our best to send traffic to the merchants page, then not to see the sale. but as u say, the clicks are free when organic seo methods are employed. well not totally free if we count our time. for example, a month of lurking on WF and other forums, learning what to do.

I must admit it is a buzz to see one's lander in the top 10 pages (and rising) of G for 500k-1M for a few keyword results after a dozen or so days live. but that positioning does not equate to sales. still need the converting traffic.

I will report back after 100 click thrus :)
