Neither of these statements are particularly relevant and, I assume, are just meant to confuse/derail the discussion. Of course the relevant statistics are crime rates adjusted for population size. When dealing with very different sized populations, total numbers obviously aren't very useful.
And the statement about majority of crimes occurring between people who know eachother...so? how does that change the issue any? there are still plenty of crimes that aren't.
the fact is huge sections of many american cities are like third-world war zones. this is the most prosperous and powerful nation on earth. what is the one thing that every single "bad part of town" has in common? hispanics and, especially, blacks. this is true everywhere in the world where these groups are.
Sure, there are poor white and asian areas too and they can be kinda rough, but there is no comparison. it is not just poverty. there are poor people all over the world. they do not all act in similar ways. look at asia, that's really the best example.
compare the giant tsunami a few years back in south east asia (a largely really pooor place) with katrina. that really says everything you need to know. in one instance everyone came together and helped each other, in the other they turned their home into a murderous rape-a-thon hellzone in a matter of hours and shot at aid helicopters from roofs.

The question is, do you harbor good racism or bad racism? Being alert when nearing gangs of blacks because they statistically commit the highest number of crimes is an example of GOOD RACISM.
Hating whites because you simply "believe" they are evil and must be lowered via government actions(affirmative action, "minority" initiatives) is an example of evil, BAD RACISM.
In other words, what I and most other conservatives possess is smart, healthy, productive, good racism.
