Obama is the dumbest liar in history

The growth isn't hard to find. Here's the #s from the US Dept of Commerce for our GDP since 2001. If you notice, there wasn't a loss reported in any quarter. In fact, I'm not sure when the last time the US had a loss in GDP.

Our last recession was in 2000. The only reason we didn't have GDP contraction this quarter was because we financed it using our tax dollars via a stimulus check.

check out all the awsome new taxes obama want to impose

If he wins, get ready for our shitty economy to get shittier

Follow your source. This is an op-ed from a guy who works at the Hoover institution (conservative think-tank) and was an economic advisor for Bush the first. There's some inherent political bias in his piece, as well as the WSJ itself.

On taxes, Obama has said he will keep the corporate tax rate the same (good idea) and lower everyone's tax rate except for the highest tax bracket (possibly not a good idea). He would also uncap social security taxes, which means if you make over 250k a year, you have to put into the medicare system proportionally to your income, as opposed to now where you don't have to pay medicare taxes for only the first 250k.

Hopefully his economic advisers will convince him to keep free trade open.

Presidents don't cause recessions. That's bullshit political rhetoric. Recessions are a natural course of the economic cycle. If we artificially prop up an economy to avoid a recession, we will get a depression.

It is currently a recession. The books are cooked with foreign debt and military inflationary spending. GDP according to some expert analysts contracted nearly 3% last quarter.

Anyone see the live Saddleback Church event tonight with Obama and McCain? If this a preview of the 3 debates to come, McCain has Obama beaten with his eyes shut, hands tied behind his back, and an extra 30 years in age to boot.

Obama gave his typical, vague responses that really didn't address anything, while McCain gave short, to-the-point and decisive answers. It really got pretty funny, keeping in mind Obama's non-answers and then listening to McCain during the second half.

I'm kinda afraid to comment. I mean anything I say about Obama at DP, I'm called a racist.

I'd have to qualify the dumb remark by saying I think he is quite intelligent, but arrogant, and in typical liberal fashion, likely one of the most ignorant liberals on planet. What little of a voting record he does have reflects my opinion.

I'm certainly no McCain fan, but Obama has a screw loose somewhere when it comes to his flip flopping problem solving skills. At least the things that McCain has flip flopped on are flip flops that we need, like drilling off shore. Obama'd rather tax us more to punish us for putting gas in our cars.

I can't stand Obama, but if you think the democrats will cost us more on gas than those jacka** republicans, then you need to recheck your recent history or remember who's in who's pocket in that industry. Quick quiz - what were gas prices before we pulled all that in the middle east? That's right, In the mid to late nineties I paid $0.80 per gallon at the pump in Kentucky. Nothing increases over 400% in 10 years especially when supply is still the same (and it is the same... minus arab anger over our stupid a** politicians getting in their business).
