Occupy Wall Street

$150 a year isn't really much at the end of the day. Not enough to be comfortable anyway.

So you're saying that 96% of Americans and over 99% of people in the world aren't making enough to be comfortable? That sounds like some radical leftist propaganda about economic inequality.

You should join the protests and hold up a sign demanding that the minimum wage be raised to over $150,000.

No doubt many if not all voted for Obama.

Change feels good. He said the road would be hard, now they know what he was talking about. Better get another loan and go for a PhD.

see... why this fuck them attitude? and i'm not attacking you, I just really don't get the mindset that so many seem to have.

They got duped, conned, manipulated...they are not bad or even dumb people. More than likely, just distracted...have no fucking clue what's going on in the world. Either way, why the fuck them stupid welfare hoarding pieces of shit attitude?

We're all affected by the current situation... The right to protest is one of the only courses of action available, no matter how pointless it may seem, it's important to exercise the right from time to time.

also, it's counter productive to start "screening" the protesters by intelligence levels. just needs to be a warm body, with solid intentions.

No, $150k a year ISN'T enough. I'd like to get to $250k a year. However, when I was making $15,000 a year I used to say "if I could just make $30,000 then I'd have it made". Then when I hit $30k I said "shit I need $60k a year and I'd def be happy. Turns out that once you hit what you wanted, you want more. So I doubt $250k a year would make me happy either TBH. But, that's the difference between them and me, I guess. I'm certainly not going to apologize for ANYTHING I've done or how much money I make or wish to make.

I am a rags to middle class/upper middle class type person. I grew up around these kinds of people, my entire family was poor as fuck and democrats. They are mostly all the same, think everyone owes them something.

"Oh, I only make $20,000 a year and this guy on Wall Street is making $10,000,000 a year so he should have to give me this or pay more taxes for that."

Basically the easiest way to describe these people is "haters". That's all they are, a big group of fucking haters feeling sorry for themselves and being angry about what they don't have instead of going out and getting a piece for themselves.

Fuck 'em.

Let's be honest, most of those kids voted for Obama because he's half black and it made them feel better about themselves. I don't think many of them have even the slightest grip on economics or foreign policy. They would have voted for Lenny Kravitz if he ran.

Kravitz is pretty badass, I'd vote for him. Plus, I doubt he could do a worse job than Obama.

I agree with everything you said about the general mindset of most of these people... however, it is very ignorant to assume they are all that type of people. Sure a lot of them are going to be bums, but I'm sure a lot more are just generally fed up with the tyrannical capitalism and those people do have a fucking point. So don't just lump this entire mass of people into a small box like that. A lot of them are bound to be legit.

I mean shit, it's probably a good time over there right now. Fighting corruption, chilling with entertaining people, smoking dope in the streets. They got balls and they're being active about the shit you and I don't like. Instead of sitting on the computer making naive comments about it, they're trying to change at least something. If I was in that city I would sure as fuck be down there partying with them.

I'm willing to bet that the average income or wealth of the protesters is no different than that of others their age. There are lots of college students from upper income families that are attracted to this type of stuff for whatever reason, and if you saw them on the streets you might think they were homeless.

John Kerry was an antiwar hippie and he grew up wealthy. I was just looking at his wiki entry to get an idea of his family wealth, and noticed that he would spend his summers at an estate in France with his cousin, Brice Lalonde, who was also wealthy.

In 1968, Lalonde was President of the Union nationale des etudiants de France (UNEF), the French National Students' Union, which brought France to a standstill with protests and riots.

Thats the shit that I hate, is someone supposed to just hand her a job? She wont get a job because, like 90% of the unemployed, she has nothing to offer other than a collage degree.
While I totally agree, I love the fact that you misspelled 'college' in that comment...

So we’re in this nasty recession. Normal, everyday Americans are struggling to get by. People aren’t making enough money to do the things they want.

HOW DO WE SOLVE THIS?

I believe the answer is simple: raise the minimum wage to $50/hour.

Now I know that some of you Neanderthalic, knuckle-dragging mouth-breathers might object to this. But if you do then you’re either a flat-out MORON or a corporate shill. Look at the facts:

(1) People don’t have a lot of money
(2) If the minimum wage is increased to $50/hour, these people will have more money

It’s that fucking simple, fucking idiots. I can’t believe I have to explain this shit to you fucking Jesus-loving, Fox-watching, racist, xenophobic, gun-toting jingoists. People who own and run businesses are rich assholes, and it’s time we gave them a big “fuck you” for having money by taking it from their greedy hands and giving it to the people who need it.

Any conservatard that tries to argue with this is just upset that under this plan we’d be giving blacks and other minorities the money previously being hoarded by greedy white capitalist corporatist fucks.

You capitalist pig, it should be at like $100 an hour

Become the "official underground coverage of the movement"

RT the shit out of everything #OccupyWallStreet, gallery of signs people made, host people's submitted videos, provide a place for participants to blog.

Then at the height of the movement, when you have mad traffic and you're ranking, 301 to googlehammer
Loving it, seriously loving it. Question though: I want to rip poster pics from google images, but I don't want to get busted for having other people's pictures on my site. Any advice here? Is there a way to go about this, or am I good to go?

If they were occupying the right street, then maybe I would feel they had some credibility. They should be on Pennsylvania Ave or at the very least, L Street Northwest.

They got duped, conned, manipulated...they are not bad or even dumb people. More than likely, just distracted...have no fucking clue what's going on in the world.

So they should get my sympathy because they are too ignorant and/or lazy to make smart decisions? I've got no problem with people protesting. What I have a problem with is why/where these particular idiots are protesting. A quick browse on the OccupyWallSt.org forums shows all you need to know. They are not protesting to right a wrong. To stop an injustices. They are simply doing it because they feel that those who have made more money than the rest should have it taken from them by force and given to another group of people.

If they really wanted to attack the source of corruption, this would be happening on the steps of Capitol Hill, not Wall St.

For truth.

Adam from Adam Vs The Man (which I found out is no longer on RT :\ ) interviews some Libtards in DC:

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bFVR9Nv43J4&feature=player_embedded]Obama Supporters "Occupy" DC - YouTube[/ame]

I was checking out the rally being organized for Dallas, and they are planning to end it in front of the Dallas Fed, which is definitely a move in the right direction.

Yes, these protesters are completely uninformed, but I do see huge potential to expose them to the truth. I might head over to OccupyDallas, whenever that is, and do some 'splaining.
