I'm doing my web hosting blog here. I am looking solution to make my blog looking better and increase conversion rate. My conversion rate is only 2-8%. I'm not quite sure if I should revamped it or modify an existing one to look neat and have better read flow. Please give me your honest comments or critic on my blog layout/design. :) Thank you very much.

Honestly:

First impression: OMG What's this!
Translation: The contrast in colours hurts the eyes. Change it if you can.

Next: OK, so what do I read first?
Translation: You have many links on the right side, so tell me where to click first... err... Do I need to click first? Wasn't it supposed to be some information on the first screen?

Next: Oh, there was info, but it was on top
Translation: People have become picture-blind for any thing that is on the very top of a web page. They will assume it's advertising and ignore it.

Hope this helps, but anyway, maybe you can check Heptagrama to see how I'm using leaving the very top of the screen free, Gorgeous Singles to see how not having too many links helps visitors focus on the main part.

Hope this helps. :)

Thank you very much for your honest critic one :) I will try my best to fix it.

Hi,

Actually I think your site is eye catching and I really love the header graphic. The information is clear to me and I like the colors and layout. Everyone to their taste:)

Did you do the header graphic yourself?

To me, such a site rings of affiliate marketing. Rather than a blog that adds value, you start out describing (advertising) hosting services. Further down the page your "blog" seems to be merely ads for the services.

Since you are promoting a $6.95 hosting service, it's clear you are targeting newbies.

But, there is little if any value a newbie can come away with other than ads for various hosting companies. To add value, think about what a newbie needs to know about hosting services. Describe the criteria they should consider. Then create a table showing how your recommended service match up with that criteria.

You've got a start with your table. But, can you put all those GB values in terms a newbie can understand? For example, for an average website of 5 pages of 100 kB per page, how many visitors will 1GB of bandwidth provide?

Such a tutorial can make these numbers real to a newbie.

Well, that my 5 cents worth.

I try to do everything myself and the results show:)
Will have to to consider outsourcing for speed and results especially in that area. Wish I wasn't so stubborn at times.

Thanks for your excellent advice. :) You told me one thing I forgot. Honestly, I tried to make my blog to provide clearly information plus updated on regular basis. You just remind me one important things I missed. :D Thank you very much again.

I reckon this is a pretty good site, well done. My only comment would be to go with a 2 column layout so your posts can be a little wider given that you'll be posting tables. Then you can pad your tables out a bit and make them a little more readable.
