Do you mean we have to deposit 1k in order to utilize the new ads? or have spent over 1k in the past?
Sometime this week or next week we will move the profile pages and others to the new ad system and anyone who spent $1000 or more in the new system will be able to bid on that traffic.

Not sure if it's been mentioned but being able to target by browser type/operating system or whatever would be nice since I get a ton of traffic from people on mobile devices and some landers don't support them too well.

Just started with POF, and encountered an annoying snag.
My campaign is meant to have targeted ads to different states, but I was not able to have the same ads in the same campaign with a different target state.
The dropdown menu asked me for country, then state. Only three states appeared in the menu: Arkansas, Alaska and Illinois. I am creating new campaigns for each state to work around this.
Is this feature broken, or is it me?
I got the message at site about the single untargeted creative. Why is it necessary to do this in order for the creatives to run correctly? Don't want to go backwards and read this whole thread if this was answered (more doing here, less reading). There's targeting at the campaign level and targeting at the creative level. If your campaign level specifies only those 3 states then at the creative level, you'll only be given the option to target those 3 states.
Try opening up the targeting at the campaign level to allow for more options at the creative level. You'll need 1 creative without any targeting at the creative level to run correctly (called your "default creative").
So essentially, you can have 1 campaign targeting a general demographic and cater each creative to a specific audience within that general demographic (No need to create multiple campaigns).
Email me at ben@pof.com if you have any other questions!

I did as I was told, and made the untargeted creative, ran 65 cents' worth of traffic to it and stopped it quickly. This was apparently satisfactory and the message went away. After a bit of experimentation, I have come to believe the only way to make POF profit is to run very narrow, targeted traffic.
We tried to sign up but the credit card had an error in the transaction process. Plus for some reason we only see the 15 cent min CPM ad buy and not the CPC model. We could use a partner to do this for us to target ethnic groups like India, Hispanic and Asian immigrants.

My POF experience is off to a bizarre start. First my ads get disapproved for "No Zoosk ads allowed" even though I wasn't promoting Zoosk at all (nor another free dating service). Then I resubmit them, this time getting "ad copy does not correspond to content on landing page" or something like that. I do mention the name of the offer in my ad copy...and otherwise I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Anything I'm missing here?
At least props to POF for making it easy to resubmit ads.
Thanks, looks like it was sorted already. You guys are pretty quick.
However, now I have another problem - my campaign-level age targeting with "between" value apparently keeps removing itself after clicking to update the targeting. Is this normal?
