It's post 5,000. Whoopdie doo. It's nothing monumental as 90% of my posts are memes and general faggotry, but since it's a "milestone" I'll share a couple quick things that will possibly add value for a couple people here.
The last week I've been struggling with what direction I'm going in, not being satisfied, and I started reflecting on my thought patterns. I've been more concerned with ideas instead of action... A kiss of death for productivity.
My challenge lately: Stop saying you'll do something, and just do it. I recently thought about this while on Facebook, "People are so quick to criticize, yet aren't doing shit themselves. Are you one of those people (Dwight)?"
It was something having to do with CrossFit. CrossFit games were going on in Carson, CA a couple weeks ago, and I was reading an article on my local newspaper's website. One of the comments by a reader was basically, "Hurr durr, that's such derp shit, fuckin' CrossFit fags, hurr durr." The guy who was saying the criticism was a fat ass! The guy's on the road to drop dead of a heart attack, yet is criticizing people for working out.
It struck a chord in me - and pointed out the crap I say. I find myself lately wanting to be quick to judge people - how they make a living, how they raise their kids, how they do XYZ, whatever. Here's the deal:
One of the biggest mistakes we make in life is assuming everyone else thinks the way we do, and wants the things we want.
Quit worrying about everything else - focus on your own shit. Quit pointing the finger, and instead point the finger at yourself. Not only that - quit SAYING what you're going to do, and just DO IT.
Action. That's what makes money. Not sitting on your ass THINKING about making money. This article was fantastic on the subject of procrastination: How To Stop Procrastinating - 6 Tips For You
Now let's go hustle.
