Kid goes to one college class, professor asks 60 people if they clicks ads, only 1 says yes. There, I just saved you all 5 minutes.

A genius professor asks his students to make the statistics of the century, a kid makes an assumption that declares decades of advertising quite a waste.

Are academic environments capable to spit numbers like this one:

or just personal thoughts without data?

really saas-specific objectives.

you just asked whether a scientific environment can draw graphs of made up numbers. is that a serious question? any middle management faggot can do that.

Just an example.
I just wanted to show a serious example of search backed by solid data, versus personal assumptions.
The whole SaaS industry rely on PPC and display adv, that kid should know this.

P.S.: I know that everyone (mhhhhh) can make graphs with spreadsheets, it's a little harder to find relevant data and numbers.

If there's one area business schools are way behind on it's anything to do with the internet.

Think about it this way.

Most courses use a book or books as the main resource for a module.

How long does it take to author a 700 page academic book, what about finding a publisher, and lead times for printing?

Marketing professors at best have a narrow industry specific business experience and at worst have never ever held down a senior marketing job.

Come back to me when the professors have worked out "Which half is wasted on [traditonal] advertising"...

there's no real world data in that post. It's just numbers "invented" to make a point. which is not a bad thing. But if you think that that's better than science, you just don't have the slightest clue what science is.
