The points-based idea can work as well. Some people like the idea of "banking" points although many of your performers will still prefer cash over anything else.

The downside to a points-based system is that when you're doing simple prize-for-performance metrics versus a "banking" system, you can make more reasonable predictions about your needs for fulfillment, which can save you money and hassle. If you have something listed in your prize section that the affiliate redeems and you suddenly find that the only place to get one is on eBay for 200% retail it's a serious pain in the ass (ask me how I know!)

I have actually thought about making a rewards program. I like the idea of carrying over points. The whole point system in general. I think the systems that you lose at the end of the month suck.

I am thinking of making a raffle type system. Where you get 1 raffle ticket to enter into various raffles. It is kinda of complicated but would be cool for the lower ones to actually get some cool prizes.

I would also offer the tiers one thing that bothers me is how low some of these tiers are. I mean if someone does over 400K with you I am sure they can buy their own 52 inch lcd tv.

The problem with health insurance is that the rate would be impossible to gauge ahead of time, wouldn't it? My insurance for a family of four is shit cheap, according to others who have mentioned their rates to me (ie. people online, living in different parts of the country etc.) For any given two affiliates the factors that go into calculating health insurance can make it hard to gauge where to set the bar for qualifying for the reward. If you wanted to make it a flat fee thing, then this goes back to the default "cash." let people spend it on health insurance if they want, or crack, or PPC (digicrack?) or whatever.

What I'm going to try and propose to the head wigs over here is a points based rewards program. For example; every dollar in commission you earn is a point and points can be redeemed at will, whenever, so you can skip stuff you don't want, bank up points, and save up for what really melts your butter etc.

Would you guys agree this format would be the kat's pajamas?

As a 25 year old single guy who already has health insurance that I pay about 100 bucks a month for, I'm not too interested in it. It would be something unique for affiliate networks though, and I think alot of others would think it would be cool... Ebay provides health insurance benefits to their power sellers, don't they?

you have to pay for it and its not cheap through ebay.

im guessing you have a job thats subsidizing your insurance because there is no health insurance in america thats $100/mo

$250 - ?
$500 - ?
$750 - ?
$1,000 - ?
$1,650 - ?
$2,200 - ?
$3,000 - ?
$6,000 - ?
$15,000 - ?

Alright, now let's hear it!

One prize for $30K cash.

Every $100 in comission that affiliates do with you each month gets them a draw ticket.

Thats about what I pay and I don't have a job to subsidize it. Basically if you're healthy and you only need insurance to offset huge incidental medical expenses you can get it for pretty cheap.
