How do you like it so far? I always have a hard time getting into a game when I first get it. And I really ever only play them for an hour at a time a few days a week max. It took me a long time to warm up to oblivion but eventually I loved it. I'm feeling a lot of the same stuff with skyrim. Not understanding the menu or ability system. Not knowing what I want to do first. The music, the setting, the art style and graphics are nice. I'm not a graphics whore or anything, but I'm playing on the 360 and they really did a good job considering. Load times are good, draw distance is a lot better. I like most of the textures. Character creation is a hell of a lot better in terms of appearance. It was a challenge in oblivion to make you character look like they didn't have down syndrome. It's a snap to make an attractive or distinct character this time around. It's kind of like a combination of oblivions and mass effects character creation. I'll probably be playing this until mass effect 3 comes out. My biggest gripe so far is I don't like the menu system, I also don't like how you have to equip spells. And I miss being able to hot key things to the d pad. So far I really like all the character models and voice acting. I may just follow the main quest for a while until I learn how to play.

Was looking forward to this game and admittedly didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I would.

However, I did just become a fucking werewolf, so... You take the good with the bad, I guess!

Be right back, tearing people up with my crazy werewolf skillz.

Metacritic says the game is living up to the hype (96/100)

I wanna beat the main quest line in oblivion first tho

im playing it, im a werewolve dragonborn married to some whore who steals everything.

I seem to spend more time exploring then killing though

I'm digging it so far. A little bummed though. I bought a brand new 6950 video card for my desktop to play this and my 2 month old i5 2500k processor took a shit on me. So I went ahead and just picked it up for the xbox. The only problem I have is that with MW3 just coming out this week, I'm not having a lot of time for Skyrim.

im downloading from torrents now to check it out, there is no demo for it so unfortunately i have to do this.

If I like it I'll buy it for the online play.

Quick qestion, is this game nerdy like WoW or am I right in thinking is more of an adventure game like prince of persia?

If it sthe former I dont want to bother with it, if its the latter I'd be happy to play

oh cool, magical spells and swords and fairies and princesses... lmao nerds i grew out of that shit at 11

Haha are you serious, Always? You must be functionally retarded to think that all fantasy is for children. Haha. Haven't you ever heard of Game of Thrones?

I was hoping it would look a little better, The Witcher 2 has me spoiled. It's a great game though, pretty damn immersive.

Currently playing an armorless mage. Conjuring for weapons and summons. Armor spells (perked - increased effect of armor spells if you have ZERO armor from gear) for survival. I really enjoy playing a dualwield-melee mage (one-handed summoned weapons) without Destruction.

Yeah the menu system kind of sucks, I am missing my PipBoy 5000. I am getting use to it, don't think it's as bad as I thought it was at first. I am playing as a summoner destruction mage. Looks awesome on a PC with the graphics cranked all the way up.

One big beef I have right now are that you companions follow like shit. They constantly get left behind, it's annoying as shit when I get in a tough battle.

I am at level 20 already and i have not into chapter 2 yet. Heard there are 3 chapters ~ Soooo many quests ~

I refuse to install this because I know it will kill all my productivity for a month. maybe in the spring...

Do the enemies scale to your level like oblivion or are they fixed like morrowind?

Probably not a bad idea to wait if you value your productivity. The enemies dont scale like they did in oblivion. The game is about a million times better than oblivion in every way possible.

probably will play it over the quet periods like christmas.

Im in a fatloss and software security niche so business is slow now.

It's good. Takes the good elements from Fallout and Oblivion.

Good time killer after some work done. Will last a few years if I keep up with this pace of playing an hour or so a day.

And it reminds me more of Morrowind than Oblivion. Which is a good thing. The leveling and stat system sucked ass in Oblivion, but found out 2 years later than there were mods for this sort of thing which made it more enjoyable.

The interface was weird, but got used to it in an hour. I use PC and this system is obviously made for consoles.

Oh, and character models and overall graphics look really good. No more retarded looking models like they had in Oblivion. I remember one of the complaints in Oblivion being that 100% of the women were all ugly as fuck. In Skyrim. From what I've seen, It's the opposite, every woman has the face of a supermodel, even the 70 year old ones.

But after wasting a lot of time with Oblivion. This seems like the same old shit. I'll probably do the main quest, Dark Brotherhood and be done with it.
