Actually I do offer BillMeLater and feature it pretty prominently on the site, but people are scared of it when they hear there's a credit check

Oh you're the vendor brah?
I was treating this thread like you're the affiliate.
In that case, survey your customer base, dig out what their spending habits are.
That shit is valuable data, it will tell you more than anyone here can.
But that is a valid point you raise about Credit Checks....
yeah... I'm a numbers kinda guy but as other people stated in the thread, there's just not that many numbers to crunch here, because I don't have that much traffic.
how would one go about surveying their target demo?
Your target demo are those you sold too. They are now your database. You're in the very priviliged situation of having access to that data, most of us affiliates don't and have to pretty much guess the game.
Use Jotform or Survey Monkey.
What I would do, is on THOSE flat days is put an exitpop survey on your page.
Obviously be creative with how you fucking ask it.
You know..don't sort of be too blunt about like "Why didn't you buy mofo"..
This... Say you get your check on the 15th and deposit it on the 15th/16th and it takes 3 days to clear. You are at the exact date where people start buying again.
Now, many folks have direct deposit, but that still takes 24-48 hours and if your on a weekend it takes longer.
Also, to rule out fraud/shaving/CC processor down etc, just place a dummy sale on the 15th-20th.
This may or may not be an anomaly, but either way it's certainly not something you should be spending time on.
dude statistically it's extremely improbable that it's just coincidence. I average 2.2 sales a day for every other day. And on the 15th it just stops. FOUR MONTHS in a row.

Just wanted to post a status update on this, nearly exactly a year from when I originally started this legendarily dumb thread.
I sold the website in question for something close to $100,000.
So keep in mind guys! This is Internet Marketing, even retards can make some money.
