Sad. /RT @13WHAM: No Miranda warning will be given to suspect, public safety exception is being invokved for limited & focused interrogation

Ohhh, is this guy ever going to get NDAA'd. It's off to Gitmo for him.

He's a legal permanent resident; he'll have a trial in a civilian court and end up in the brig if convicted.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't the exception for US citizens get stripped out of the bill some months back?

If so, he's going to be classified as a terrorist, invoking the NDAA, giving the US government the legal authority to detain him indefinitely without trial. Correct, or no?

We're gonna have to wait and see how they make the call. The way they left it was that the language was ambiguous. This would be the first test of whether or not those few sentences make a big difference.

Wasn't there supposed to be a 3rd suspect too? Heard them talking about it earlier today and that they stopped a train on the way to Connecticut, but then they stopped talking about him when they found Dzokhar...

They have taken several people, including a woman, from residences where they knew one of the suspects had been to recently. Not sure if they let them go or not.

There were a number of other incidents, where someone would call in a suspicious person or package, and 100 police went racing to that location. The 3 or 4 of those I heard on the scanners, they turned out to be nothing.

But it was really wild watching the twitter feeds and listening to the scanners. A lot of stuff was right on the money, but it started to get easier to tell when someone was putting out bullshit.

A lot of that bullshit is floating around now on the CT sites. And now also on the major news networks.

He wasn't doing so hot when they took him in, he may not need help to die.

They won't let him die until the get what they want. No pain meds. He is going to suffer greatly. And when they are done he will die from the injuries sustained from his apprehension

If they are legally allowed to do that, it would be as an additional choice and not a requirement.

Last month they announced that Sulaiman Abu Ghaith would be tried in New York. He is not a citizen and I don't think he had ever been in the country.
