Show me your puppies...

Anyone ever foster dogs? I don't want to commit to a dog full time but having kids, I kinda feel like I'm abusing them by not having dogs.

We do. Fostering dogs is an awesome way to help out with the massive overpopulation/euthanization problem in this country.

We foster Bully breeds, because they are the #1 type of abandoned dog.

Here are our permanent pair of Jacks.

What is that, a fucking ocelot??! Cool!

I have a mini Dachshund. Never was really into the breed until my friend fostered a couple... I ended up keeping one. For the guy talking about fostering, I think it's a good idea because if you are adopting an adult dog, you really don't know what you are going to get. Plus if you have never had a dog before it can be more work than you expected. My dog was 4 when I adopted him, but I observed his personality for a few months when hanging out with my friend. He is a really cool dog for such a little feller.

My family has had a number of labs and they are among my favorite breeds. Great dogs if you have the space for em and don't mind cleaning up all the fur they leave around. Their temperament is great tho, great family pet.

Corgi/Beagle mix.

Go to the shelter and look around, make note of the breeds and do research. Certain breeds are going to be more prone to barking and aggression, obviously.

this almost made me want to get one. Beagle right? Heard they're good dogs, have the disposition of big dogs but small enough not to destroy your home.
Correct?

That's a basset hound if I am not mistaken. Bigger ears and feet. They have huge feet even as puppies. I have one. Great dog. Loyal as shit. They are stubborn to train usually but great dogs.

The other one is my gf's dog. It is a yorkie maltese mix. He thinks he is bigger then he is. They have a lot of fun together. All I can say is if you get one make sure to remember it is a ton of work (vet bills, can't go anywhere, etc.) Kind of like having a kid. Just make sure to match the kind of breed with your personality.

I love Corgis. Never had em but I've always wanted one - they are just so stupid looking... part of the reason why I adopted that Dachshund... I guess most people would call them "cute" rather than stupid but it took me a while to figure that out.

Here's my guy. Full-bred rotty, mixed with King Sheppard. He's 14 now, but still gets compliments whenever we're in public. He used to be 75 pounds and could jump a 4ft cow fence without hesitation! :D

The smaller one is Cowgirl and she is a border collie/lab mix and the second one Wrangler is my 80 pound big ass baby. Not quite certain of his breed, I adopted him but I believe it's a German Sheppard mix. :D
