SPAMMER GETS MY 2 SITES PENALIZED - WICKEDFIRE ATTENTION!

to the OP they would have just spammed a heap of super spammy links at you, pinged them, and then submitted spam reports. This would have to be done quite a few times and from different IPs. This would have to be combined with IP cloaking etc.

It is actually quite difficult to google bowl an established site and impossible for some. You may want to try contacting google and let them know you're story. Although google has possible the worst customer service in the world so expect a long hard journey

If that were the case then "every" subdomain site would suffer a penalty just for existing.

Subdomains (hxxp://blog-name.example.com/) are treated as "new" sites and don't share the same authority as if they were in their own directory on the main site (hxxp://example.com/blog-name/). This is to help prevent penalties traveling "up" to the main site if someone created a parasite to just get authority from sharing the same root domain and spammed it to death, posted warez, porn, etc.
 
ha ha ha... not... i got all rectified and i do believe in penalties fyi... and i hope this is a thread of the year...lol.... i was in a state of shock for 2 days and competitors do this to each other by simply buying dead links allllll the time...anyhow! thanks for the people on here that helped me and gave me useful info and direction.....
