Stop Drinking Beer Fo 2 MONTHS???

Off the sauce for 7 years. I was looking at jail time.

When you're a drunk like me, you got no business drinking alcohol over the age of 25 or so.

The upside is I have a life.

Alcohol effects everyone differently. Obviously in your case it was having way too many negative effects. Glad you took control of it and continue to have a life without out. :) I on the other hand enjoy a couple of cold beverages after I get done with work and school and feel I will probably enjoy it way past the age of 25.

Then again I'm not there yet so no way of being able to tell.

+1 for you though for getting through it all. I have an uncle who had to quit or be in the same position as you and he did it.

People just have to figure out what is moderation for them. Some of us it can be a sixer a night or for others it could be none at all.

First time I got drunk was 11 with my mates.

At 13/14 I was drunk every friday and saturday.

At 16 - 19 I was lightly buzzed everyday, and binge drinking often. Got serious legal and other personal life issues because of alcohol. Had to stop that shit.

Now, at 20, I get drunk two times per month. Then again, I have an odd craving for beer once in a while in the evenings. I'm a big homemade beer lover. I hope I can hold this consumption level for the rest of my life, as I am completely comfortable with it, then again, I can not imagine a weekend with my buddies without a beer. And I hope I can avoid the "hook" in the lip which makes people to binge drink 7 days in a row.

I hope my genes will save my ass, nobody in my family is an alcoholic, so I count on genes.

Now I am absolutely happy with my alcohol consumption. Like I said, I hope I can maintain it that way. I don't want to become a lost soul because of alcohol, and don't want to quit alcohol totally as well. Gotta do it in moderation that you are comfortable with.

2 months would be tough to give up beer. I drink it, brew it, bathe in it. I love good beer. Now if you told me I could only drink Coors Light for 2 months, I would probably pass and just drink Mtn. Dew instead.

I was almost 1 year without smoking cigs and then started smoking again only when I drink. Also I was alcohol sober for about 4 months. In the beginning it will be hard for like the first week since your body is un intoxicating itself if I'm correct. It's all about will power, it's really hard though when you're in situations where everyone is drinking (clubs/bars/parties) so you just have to avoid them as much as possible for a bit.

If you're still reside in DR though goodluck with that :)
