Strategy Games?

Back in the beige age (which for me was up until 2 years ago), I loved playing some Starcraft. Nothing addicting or anything, just an hour or two every couple of days or so. When I got my Mac I thought I was screwed when it came to gaming, but I found a torrent for Age of Empires III, downloaded, installed, loved it.

Much suggested, even if it is a few years old.

I hear EVONY is always looking for new people to join their community. Hell, you might even meet the queen, herself.

I know the CEO of that game. The guy is hard... a revolutionary and inspiration for real.

The Total War series is great. Empire Total War and Medieval Total War II would be the most recent ones and both are really quite good. Empire Total War has a great ship battle element to it that is a first for the Total War series.

edit: looks like the next part of their series is Napoleon Total War... http://www.totalwar.com/ as usual, looks amazing. WATCH THE VIDEO! Those are in game sequences, not cut scenes!

Otherwise the Supreme Commander series is pretty good and so was Dawn of War series, the Warhammer 40K game.

+1 for Total War series. Rome Total War is one of the best games I've ever played and you can pick it up for real cheap nowadays (it's pretty old). Pretty good multiplayer too.

If you havent played Medieval II Total war do it. Fantastic game.

I loved AOE2:AOK aswell. Amazing online, some of the coolest maps. I remember one where you had a shittonfuck of troops and had to lead them into an arena to fight three others, was well fun.

I don't play too much strategy games but I really enjoyed Rise of Nations. Try it out if you haven't played it. The graphics might seem a bit outdated due to the fact that it came out a while ago.

total war series for sure but am i the only one who thinks the empire total war game and this upcoming napoleon game is a horrible choice for time setting? I know its the logical step forward for a timeline but did anyone ever really like the gun aspect in those games enough to warrant a whole game based on that timeline? I want to see hand to hand combat sword fighting and all that good stuff from the previous ones. the gun units were the most boring part of the game.

You guys got me thinking about WC3. I miss playing DoTA, and everything related to WC3. Footman wars was epic too.

Excited to see the new Starcraft game come out, as well as Diablo III(although that's RPG, not RTS, but still).

The picture above of Company of Heroes also looks pretty damn sweet, gonna have to check that game out.

I LOVE RTS games, was big into command and conquer + red alert, warcraft (not WOW) and the like.

Any more , the big thing I've been enjoying is evony & arma2 with some super complex scenarios.
