Street children locked in cages to clear the way for the Pope

He is in the PH since yesterday and its his 2nd day today. Main reason for the visit is to give support for the victims of the Category 5 Storm Haiyan.

But what happened to the kids are sickening, hope the pope can do something about it.

Obviously it's the Mail so likely not entirely true. I'm guessing at the minimum he's there though.

With that being true, why not donate the money he used to go there, instead of swanning around like Billy Big Bollocks and staying in some nice hotel and getting properly fed? Fucking cunt could've actually helped.

The Pope easily COULD do something about it. The Vatican is the richest organization in the world. But doing something about poverty is not in the interest of further enriching the Vatican.

This is actually the humblest Pope there is/was. Before becoming Pope, he'd travel around via public transportation even though he was offered a private chauffeur. When he became Pope, there was controversy, because he refused a lot of the services provided to him - some of which were for his own safety.

Now your logic of a Pope sitting in the Vatican to save costs is preposterous. That's like telling a politcian that he can't visit his hometown constituents because he should sit in Washington D.C. and not spend the $1,000 on travel costs.

P.s. Dude has no control over how messed up the PH are. He'll likely do something about it since he now knows, but before this issue didn't even come to light.

LOL #FuckingCunt = like

Its not about the money :fart: People in tacloban can build 1 house each with all the donations/help they got from the world when the deadliest storm hit the city and put it down to ground 0. Its all about the trauma & emotional state of the people

On a lighter note at least the cops will not be shooting the shit all over the city....

Filipino Traffic Police To Wear Diapers During Pope's Visit

MANILA, Philippines (AP) — When Pope Francis visits the Philippines next week, traffic enforcers won't let the capital's streets get gridlocked if they have to answer the call of nature.
About 2,000 traffic enforcers who will be on duty during the Jan. 15-19 papal visit will be required to wear adult diapers, said Metropolitan Manila Development Authority chairman Francis Tolentino.

You do realize that the Catholic Church provides the most charity relief in the world? The fact that they have healthy cash reserves is also a good thing. Complaining about their cash reserves is like complaining about Apple's cash because they created great products which created value and people wanted.

Also, where do you think the Vatican is spending all this money? You think they're blowing it on hookers and cocaine? No. They're either spending it on charity activities, growing the church, or creating a larger safety net for the future.

Might as well rewrite your comment to "I am poor. Fuck the church!"

Christianity should be banned
Islam should be banned
Judaism should be banned
Hinduism, not sure
Buddhism needs some changes

We have science now.

Huh? You are equating an extremely well run business that earned their money to the church who sticks their hands out every Sunday begging for their money, oh and laundering the money of the Italian mafia. Yeah they are very alike.

You HAVE to be trolling. Go and have a look at the Vatican, the size of their bank balances and the amount of properties and gold they hold and the expenses of their "staff" and the artwork they have.

How rich is the Vatican? So wealthy it can stumble across millions of euros just 'tucked away'

I don't think anything should be banned, but 100% agree with the sentiment. Religion should be a personal thing ONLY and not bought anywhere out of the persons head, home and/or church/mosque/temple. Keep your idiotic, childish, archaic beliefs to yourselves and we wont have a problem

Those police wearing diapers should each get a personal apology from the president and $100,000 each compensation in the form of retirement bonus and their child's education paid for. It is disgusting and degrading, they have been mocked by literally everyone in the whole world. If it was me I would be ashamed and mentally scarred for life.

Suggestion: When the Pope leaves, keep the kids caged for a few months. I'm sure Manila could use a break.

Well... the Pope knows about the street kids now.

"Ex-street kid weeps as she asks Pope why God lets children suffer in Philippines" (incl video)

Ex-street kid weeps as she asks Pope why God lets children suffer in Philippines - CNN.com

His answer? To hug her.

He said of it:-

"She is the only one who has put a question for which there is no answer and she wasn't even able to express it in words but in tears," the 78-year-old Pope told the crowd

How is there no answer? There is an answer (The church seems to have pretty much a monopoly on answers).

Either God is letting them suffer to fulfil some plan of his, which would be pretty damn evil in my opinion, or the more likely answer, there is no God and the reason they are on the streets is most likely that the church forbade their parents to use contraception or have an abortion.
