Man, Mrgreen must be pissed off. First he buys Facebook Ad Manager, almost immediately it gets shut down. Then, shortly afterwards, someone releases a free POF uploader. ouch..
Dude, I really hope not... I'm not looking to step on anybodies toes here. Now I haven't talked to Lorenzo since but I think he couldn't care less - which is super cool.
That said... lol, I just got a refund from pua-app.com

UPDATE:
I've been super busy these past couple of days so didn't really get a chance to work on any of the stuff I promised you guys but I'm doing everything super-humanly possible to free myself up by Wednesday.
So keep tuned for more updates by the end of the week.

Groove, I'm planning on getting back on the wagon by the end of the week. My intial plan was to start yesterday but I've been helping out a friend with his startup and I kinda got a little sidetracked.
That said, it's on my priorities list because I need to upload me some new creatives and I don't even know if the ol' one still works (I hate depending on it like that). Btw, does the old ad manager still work?

Sorry for the long radio silence. A new version is in the works with some nice bells and whistles. Just to highlight a couple of things, we're going to get 8-10 times faster uploads by leveraging the new POF Bulk Creative Upload feature, delete/resubmit rejected ads and easier to use CSV files (I like how the FB Uploader does it, so I'm going to do it the same way).
Meanwhile, if you're using my app, please consider making a donation to The Rotary Foundation.
They've been fighting polio for the last 20 years and are only 1% away from eradicating it forever.

Dropping by real quick to give those interested a heads up as to why I closed down http://pimpmyservers.us and how that affects The POF Uploader.
Got a big big job for pimpmyservers (unrelated to wf or the uploader) but that also implies an extreme non-compete for the entire duration of the contract -- basically can't do the same thing for anybody else...
That however doesn't affect The POF Uploader at all and it allows me to focus more on the charity aspect of it all. Deservingly, I moved it to it's own domain The Free POF Uploader and the improvements I mentioned in my earlier post are still on track.
I will return with updates but in the meantime, since this has become a totally selfless act of charity, if you could help support the cause through a kind word or link (even if it's through a forum sig) that would be much appreciated...

anyhow, never thought of it because I always either run parallels or remote desktop to a windows box when I need to (which everybody can obviously do)
making that thing is a breeze for me right now and re-building it in anything else that would be platform independent would be too much of a hassle (since it's free and all that)
I'm not ruling it out however... if it gets enough traction why not, right?

Bump for a new version!
Here are the new features:
1. Installer: automatically checks and installs required dependencies (a lot of people were having trouble running the uploader because of missing stuff)
2. IAB Ads: though obviously you don't need to create any ad variations as you do with Small Ads, it turns out some people wanted a automated way of uploading those, so here ya' go
3. Delete Pending Ads: I sometimes upload a bunch of ads and then realize I put in the wrong tracking URL or something and it's just a pain to delete them by hand... now it ain't exactly fast but it sure beats doing it manually
4. Delete Declined Ads: why would you want to keep those around, right?
5. New way of building campaigns: using CSV files, same as the FB Ad Uploader (I don't know what I was thinking with the old .txt format)

1. Using the POF bulk uploading functionality to upload faster. Their tool doesn't add the variation number to the URL which means you can't track ads individually. That obviously makes it useless. I told Ben about it and it's on their list. So until then... it will continue to upload variations one by one.
2. Resubmitting ads. POF probably has some history on your ad (ie. even if it reaches another intern this time around, he/she might be able to see that the ad already got rejected once). Deleting your rejected ads and resubmitting them with the functionality already built in will probably increase your chances of getting it approved. I just couldn't be bothered automating all that

1. Family just a got a little bigger with the FB Ad Uploader 2.0 finding a permanent home over at FB Ad Uploader, Fast & Free Facebook Ad Uploader. New version brings stability improvements (old version sometimes crapped out in the middle of ad creation) and improved CSV parsing.

Norton anti virus keeps deleting the files when i download them as virus protection.....
