They can handle your account but as long as the newtork isn't giving AMs "inside info" on where my traffic is coming from then bring it on...and if AMs are running offers they'll know better which ones are working, etc so they could share that advice with me so I can make more informed decisions instead of wasting time and resources "testing" offers.

You could also do stuff like AM vs Affiliate competitions where you can get a bonus $$$ if you outperform the AM in sales or whatever for a particular offer.

I would want my AMs pushing the offers because it's more money for all and that's what an ad network is supposed to do! If a publisher's business is so fragile than an AM promoting the offer he is promoting causes him to lose out, good riddance! Seriously, the whole idea of being open about your business seems nice to a group of noobs but in reality it's better to keep your junk in your pants...at the very least, speak convincing in half-truths.

This is just fucking stupid. I really don't think you know much about human psychology. There is nothing worse in business than sharing some or all of your info with someone you compete with.

And it is someone that can and do demand where your traffic is coming from, look through any referrer info they are getting, and see how your conversions change over time.

Maybe you cloak everything, redirect everything, and move around a lot but not everyone does or wants to on all campaigns.

If you are such a badass why dont you PM me your prosper login and url? That is just one person having your info....

Or if you like a lot of competition post it in this thread.

Ruck has personally given me help by PM with monetizing a site, and I am not one of his affiliates, and he has never asked me for a thing.

He's one of the good dudes, and even if he is self-promoting, it's in people's best interest to know him, and to know about his business ideas whether you work with him or not.

Ruck did the right thing by posting here, IMO. I was talking about this stuff with one of my AMs at ASE (not C2M) . If you're upfront and open about yourself and the way you do business you'll be forgiven for almost anything. We all know people make mistakes (or people's employees).

Damage control 101:

1. I (or someone under me in my company) fucked up
2. Here's what happened.
3. Regrets and/or apologies.
4. Here's my plan to avoid this in the future.

The few networks that have actually gotten this right on wf come through with flying colors. But we all remember the failboat trainwreck threads of the ones that passed the buck, ignored the problem, or worse tried to cover it up.

ive never run with ruck and always thought alot of people here blow smoke up his ass but i think its pretty solid that they don't run in-house stuff. i think thats a big conflict, i hate it when ams say shit like "oh i saw you ad" etc etc.
