UK’s Cameron rejects early EU in/out referendum after vote loss

Hiding away in isolation on our damp island will not solve Britain's problems but is the straight path to be Little Britain forever. Politics must be competent and make a fair deal: trade with EU but don't let Britain be owned by EU.
Don't think and act like a working class loser, if you are an entrepreneur and operate on international level EU is an opportunity not a problem.

Sure, a real free trade agreement means just that, no tariffs etc, no need for regulations or political union, but where's the power gain in that?

I have alot of respect for Putin. Putin on Muslim majority in Russia:

You're delusional.

I'm curious, as business owners, and people who by and large would like to see a reduction in government - what beef do you have with immigration? What would you say is the worst-case outcome, realistically?

They're different to us. That's incredibly frightening.

Some of them don't even put up Christmas trees in December.

The problem is that Cameron and all KNOW what it would means to the UK to leave the EU. Forget what they say - they know the UK would suffer for decades leaving the EU.

This political blah about the EU is one thing. To like them... no one does. But to deny their economical powers is plain stupid.

The EU is not weak. Its a wonder how strong it still is when you assume how countries like Italy, Greek and others exploited it.
And also the UK, who used the EU to become a financial powerhouse and skip the industrial sector.
Anyone really believes the UK had done that without be part of the EU?

The fun is that the UK elite played to long on the "blame the EU or germany for anything" piano. At some point people started to believe.

What's your argument?

Right, and as a radical Muslim, more Muslims in the country is going to make you more likely to commit acts of terrorism, potentially harming them and going directly against the word of the Quran? And you don't think that the vast majority of terrorism has fuck all to do with religion, and much more to do with wanting the West to GTFO of the Middle East?

Not to mention that assuming we're talking about the US, Gun > Sword.

^^ and there's hundreds, if not thousands of more images just like that. I'm sure I don't need to link them here.

Google and YouTube "Muslim patrols".

You have self segregationist people that don't want to integrate into the communities they've moved into, but instead want to change them to be like those where they've come from.

"In the name of tolerance we have imported intolerance."

With a birthrate some 4 times greater than ethnic Europeans, it's not hard to see how, at some point in the future though perhaps not in our lifetimes, European cultures will be replaced by Islam. The same is slowly happening in the US and Canada.

"We have 50 million Muslims in Europe. There are signs that Allah will grant Islam victory in Europe—without swords, without guns, without conquest—will turn it into a Muslim continent within a few decades. - Muammar Gaddafi"

I don't dislike Muslim people in general. I dislike organized religion. I especially despise those religious zealots who would try to force me to follow their doctrine.

Wat. You are basing on possibilities and constructing all these what ifs, is the reality not good enough? That image is from Australia, not Egypt.

Also I am glad you "know" what they want, because last time I checked they want

- "the west to gtfo of the middle east"
- israel to "gtfo of the middle east"
- to live in the west
- to remain anti-western
- to exercise their religious law
- in a rich society built on secular law

...all at the same time.

I'd say the same about any religion or generally subculture, if it becomes violent and retarded. No one gives a shit about what Tolkien cosplayers do on their gatherings, but the moment they start attacking everyone around for not living in their world, they become a problem. They should be treated in accordance with general criminal law without all the "ermagerd it's racist to bash them" fluff.

I think the whole immigration thing is a bit of a red herring. Especially compared to other factors such as automation and outsourcing when it comes to jobs at least. Farage enjoys banging on about Romanian gangs in London, well, last time I checked the Albanians and Russians seem to be doing 'OK' and they're not part of the EU.

FWIW, I would vote to stay a part of the EU, but I do think we are entitled to a referendum at least. My beef isn't to do with immigration or legislation. Merely that last time anybody had a say was 40-odd years ago - and that was to join a common market - not a federal super state.

Curious to opinions, if the UK is fucked without the EU, is the EU fucked without the UK?

Will be interesting to see what, if anything, changes with so many Euroskeptic MEPs elected to the house. In the mean time I'll just quietly enjoy the drama/outrage on my facebook feed :)
