It probably won't affect most users, but the Vista-to-Windows-7 upgrade paths are actually limited by version in the following ways:
* Windows Vista Home Premium to Windows 7 Home Premium
* Windows Vista Business to Windows 7 Professional
* Windows Vista Ultimate to Windows 7 Ultimate
GB, was this was an upgrade?yeah I went from vista home to windows 7 home, had the kernel problem where my comp would just randomly hang the fuck up in the middle of something and not respond at all, fixed that easily... now it runs faster and just more balling overall
Read the OP more closely next time, mmmkay?Been using Win7 since 2 years. Its the best damn stable version ever. Havent faced any compatibility issues till date. You shouldnt even be asking.
Thanks for the feedback.i initially did an upgrade from vista to w7 - worked just fine for a bit but then started to slow down... i ended up doing a fresh install and it is money now... much faster
Great help, much appreciated.-too many variables (software/hardware) to be certain so prepare for the worst
-Clone your Vista install to a separate drive/partition first (assuming you have important shit on it)
-use the upgrade adviser from MS to find obvious problems.
Vista and Win7 share a lot of the same code and the upgrade will work fine most of he time. I find systems with proprietary software cause the most problems (laptops esp)
