I'm way overdue for an upgrade. Have an old pos Samsung. Never had an iPhone or any of that fancy shit.

Do I wait for iPhone 5 or do I get this bad boy with Android? Samsung GALAXY S II Every review I've read on it says it's great. Or something else?

Not really thinking about Blackberry anymore, that one looks like a sinking ship, however, I'm open to it if there's just something amazing there.

Anyone used both iPhone and Android and/or gone back and forth?

This is what I want mostly:

- E-mail (multiple logins) / Google Apps
- Good browsing experience
- Good social integration, Twitter, FB, etc.
- Decent camera with flash
- Good security (Pretty sure BB owns this)

Any fancy apps for a marketer that's available for one or the other that the other doesn't have? etc.etc??

I dunno? I'm probably missing a lot of shit but as long as the above works and works well I'll be happy. It's a pain in the ass to read e-mail on my phone as it is never mind all the other stuff.

That does look bad ass, wondering if it might be a little too big, may have to test drive when it's out here..

Galaxy beats iPad by many ways.. but the iOS fanboys won't agree with it. I have been using both together just for comparison and Galaxy's Android OS has been a lot better with a customizable interface, loading flash, bluetooth functioning well etc.

i was going to wait for the iphone 5 as well but that samsung looks sick!

I'm waiting for the black box

Since the iphone first came out, that's all I had. Unfortunately I dropped my dam phone in the river 2 weekends ago. Anyhow, I was waiting for the iphone 5 but was told that version couldn't be unlocked. Havent done any research on the subject, but if thats true thats gonna suck because I hate at&t.

Agree with the locking and unlocking stuff. iPhone has all that to do, but Android being an open source, there is no unlocking stuff needed as the phones can work with any carrier, so no hassles at all.

im still on the iphone 3g, it still works somehow. but im waiting for the iphone 5 :)

Waiting for an iphone 5 HOWEVER... the Windows 7 phones look pretty sweet as well.

Am NOT a fan of android at all. Google's intrusion into my life is getting bigger and bigger. Not thanks... (tinfoil hat firmly in place)

Since the iPhone 5 is largely expected to be announced and fully detailed over the next week or two, I would suggest waiting to see if it's worth picking up.

Other than that, the only way you can decide the silly "iOS vs. Android" battle for yourself is to use an iPhone 4 with iOS 5 Beta on it for a while, and a Samsung Galaxy S II or Droid Bionic with Android 2.3.* on it as well. You'll know pretty quick which you prefer.

You cannot go for anything but an Iphone, dude. It´s not just a phone... it´s a fucking statement!

Apart form that,.... of course it has it all, including those minor demands of yours.... :love-smiley-087:

Idk about Windows - I like that on my PC....and yeah I thought about the whole Google intrusion thing but then I think Apple and I see that tracking shit they put in and what not and in the end you have to trust someone whether you like it or not.

Making a statement is a the bottom of my list. Having said that, both those Galaxy phones make quite the statement methinks (to anyone who has a clue). I'm not on Steve's knob - I'll only get it if it's better, simple as that.
