I took my car in to an oil change this morning, and while I was waiting, I walked down to a McDonald's nearby to grab a cup of coffee. On the way, I walked through a group of Hispanic men waiting at a pickup spot for day labor type jobs, the thing you normally see in front of Home Depot's and such.
As I walked by, a man approached them to offer them work. Next thing I know, there are about a dozen grown men sprinting over, waving their hands in the air, begging this guy to pick them for the gig. I would imagine there was maybe $50 on the line for the day, yet these guys were pleading with this man to throw them in the back of his truck to go haul around dirt in his backyard or on a jobsite.
Now you might be thinking "man, those guys are really dedicated to making some money and getting to a better place". FUCK THAT. They're doing exactly what so many people do who get into Internet Marketing. They're jumping at the first opportunity they see, simply because it's there and they can make quick cash. They have no long term goals, no plans, nothing. They just want that quick cash.
I know that I struggle with keeping my ideas at bay, and I also know the majority of you do as well. People with a dozen projects at once will simply fail. There's just no way to have that many things going on at once and have them all get the attention required to take them to the next level and start making you actual profit.
The only way to succeed in this game is to learn and apply knowledge NOW. Stop jumping to new projects, stop chasing quick dollars, and stop wasting your time on a dozen different projects when you could instead cut it down to 2 or 3 projects that actually have a chance to get fucking finished.
99.9% on this forum will never make more than a few dollars at this shit. I mean, look at the data RIGHT NOW for wickedfire:
The only guys who are really ballin' and making cash in IM are the ones you don't see very often, who don't flaunt their shit, and who put their fucking heads down and started WORKING.
I make no secrets about the fact that I had a really shitty 2009. Personal stuff, work stuff, whatever, it just wasn't good. I told myself that I will correct that, and by my birthday of 2011 (april, so about 10 months) I will be in the position in life that I want to be in.
Until then, I wake up furious that I'm not there yet. I am channeling that anger into the start of my days, and I'm hitting the grind harder and harder every day until I get to where I want to be.
There are a lot of people on this forum that are very successful and very talented. But there are also a lot of people who simply fucking are not, yet appear to be, and even act like they are. The reason this forum remains the highest quality IM forum online is because we beat the shit out of each other, constantly challenging one another to prove ourselves and man up.
If you want to succeed, you need to treat yourself just as hard. Wake up every morning and take a second and think "Have I met my goals yet?" If the answer is no, then get to fucking work.
Stop jumping from project to project. Pick something and see it through to completion.
The only people who succeed are those who stop researching and just fucking do something.
