What to do when the big war hits?

I agree with you here.... as weird as it sounds, the higher north you get the easier it is to live. Less people, more game, huge forests, lots of lakes, plenty of natural resources.

I have about 8 months worth of food storage right now. I've also been stockpiling ammo, fishing supplies, water purifiers, etc. It's also important to learn skills such as how to grow food or build traps, etc. Mostly i do it cause it's fun to learn survival techniques.

Also i have a diesel truck that's converted to run on used vegetable oil, so after everyone else runs out of gas, i still have about 500 gallons of vegetable oil to run on, mow down chinese invaders or zombies.

My biggest advice is to stockpile some food. It's not very hard to do, not very expensive, and you'd be suprised at the piece of mind it gives you.

You know you can distill garbage and whatever else into ethanol. If you use corn or food to make it then you can drink it too. Its a felony, but once the aliens attack there will be no worries about the government regulating the fuck out of everything. Making a distiller is pretty easy.

Ive been researching "off the grid" living for a while now.

Arrive at Playboy Mansion. Pretend to be Navy Seal with amazing killing and survival skills. Bang away. Find best compound, with best water, food and security. Set up brothal. Sex is recession proof or in this case disaster proof. My girls will be upselling penis pills of course.

I doubt China could even invade America. The only way to invade America is to invade it over 4 generations. Slowly get your operatives into position by acting all innocent in America, set up a business even, contribute to the beautiful American dream.

But when the time comes, and their will be a time that comes. You are Chinese and you have slowly manouevered youself into the Heart of America like a Trojan horse. The war is already over. China pwn.

But in the "how to survive a Chinese Man about to sever your neck" manual, it says that you need to be skinny and smart. It also says that you need to adapt to this situation faster than a borg on crack. Become good with a weapon and even better with your wits. No loyalties. No friends. Anyone and everyone connected with the beautiful war will divide.

You cannot survive this while playing X-box. They are good like that.

So what you are saying is that the Chinese have already initiated a real life DDOS attack on the USA? planting their bots in the US over many years, just waiting to flip the switch?

Sounds cool, i'll have to look it up. I wonder how your car would like it? you can also build a gasifier. Obviously it would be nice to have all this crap ready and tested before the shiz hits the fan.

Was looking for ways to run my generator and OHV long term off grid, it will run a normal gasoline engine with no conversion needed :)

no, but it can go up and down, it's not like you have to stay up in the air the whole time :)

Plus it CAN be as long as 15 years, you can stay up for 2-3 years if you wanted to. Consumer versions are coming out soon btw. Proper term is airships, check the "Present-Day research" Airship - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I'm into the whole paragliding flying thing, so this would be right up my alley

Be good missile training for the new owners of the USA.

Could get a diesel gen and diesel OHV, and convert them to run on alternative fuel... Vegetable oil, used motor oil, used transmission fluid, etc.. Plus those motors last longer than gas. Also look up gasification. It was used a bunch during the depression. It's a great way to run motors if you have wood readily available.

Run to the hills. :glowingeyes_sml:

There are a myriad of threads around here that give reasons as to why a major War might hit homeland USA one day soon.

It could be a Chinese invasion, it could be Civil War II, it could be the mother of all market crashes, it could be the ultimate war between google and facebook, it could be a lack of resources/food/virgins/spam whatever that brings us into an apocolyptic situation...

Whatever it may be, when the bombs start dropping, what do you plan to do? Let's assume:

1. If you stay you have to find a way to defend yourself & your family from something.

2. Europe, Oz, and all 1st-world nations are kind of fucked to; so if you run you have to run you take the chance of having no luxury left anywhere to run to.

3. The US of A no longer exists. Washington DC is a smoking crater.

4. Some nukes may have been dropped but most of the nation's structures are intact. You can likely drive your car some places if you can find gas.

What would be your plan? Where would you go? What are your priorities?

I know of several super wealthy families that have large compounds in various parts of the country. They are in the middle of nowhere with only access via helicoptor or plane. They have these in preparation for just such an event. No roads, nothing. Miles and miles around - nothing.

They are completely ready for such an event.

I need something that is renewable on small scale. Gasification sounds promising :)

Soner created a logo for me for a project that turned out excellent. Went through several revisions and after mocking something crudely myself and being more specific I got exactly what I wanted. His font choice was very good and blended uniqueness with readability down to any size well.

Will definitely use again for future projects.
