Hello friend,
Be own boss is one good thing. When you boss you work for self and make self rich. When you employee you work hard to make boss rich.
But I think best thing about make money online is that can always make money for 24 hour day and every day year. When people sleep in one country there other online in other country that can make money from.
If you boss of other business like restaurant you have be open or no can make money. But when make money online can go set up campaign and then you make money even when go sleep, go toiliet, or go party. So even when no work can still make money.

Having the freedom so when I get too tired / pissed off, I can just pack a bag of clothes, goto the airport, look at the departures board, decide what I country I'd like to spend some time in, and generally be there within 8 - 16 hours.

that was the dream, but I feel so uncomfrtable working away from my dual screen desktop setup. Working on a laptop feels like trying to work off an iphone.

Work from anywhere, and set your own hours. That, and set your own income level (somewhat). They sky's the limit. There's no waiting for your annual employee review to come around, with hopes you'll get that whopping 4% raise, instead of 2%. With this, there's no limits. If you want a higher income, then go get it.
