Permanent Residents can't vote in Canada. They also need to spend 75% of the time of any 4yr block in Canada or risk losing their residency when they try to renew it, and can have it revoked if they commit certain classes of felony. That's pretty much it though

Did the law recently change? I thought it was they had to spend 3 years out of every 5 in Canada? When did the 4 year thing start?
And getting your PR status revoked is actually quite difficult. Definitely possible, but doesn't happen at the whim of an immigration officer. There's a lengthy process before you're PR status is officially revoked. Then again, there's a lengthy process to get PR status in the first place, so I guess it evens out.

He wasn't drunk. His blood alcohol level was tested at .014 and .011 which is less than the .02 for underage drinkers and .08 for everyone else. He also wasn't drag racing, as the GPS unit has shown exactly how fast he was going and video surveillance from the area shows he wasn't doing anything wrong at the time.
