I have always hated the idea of having kids. I had my Vasectomy done last year at 24.
So who else decided to be childfree for life? What is your reason for doing so?

Childfree (sometimes spelled child-free), also known as voluntary childlessness,[1] is a form of childlessness. Voluntary childlessness in women is defined as women of childbearing age who are fertile and do not intend to have children, women who have chosen sterilization, or women past childbearing age who were fertile but chose not to have children. Individuals can also be "temporarily childless" or do not currently have children but want children in the future.[citation needed] Mardy S. Ireland in her book "Reconceiving Women: Separating Motherhood from Female Identity" interviewed dozens of women from all ages and walks of life.

I didn't know women could have vasectomies.

That's a pretty bold decision to make at such a young age. What makes you so sure you will never want to have children? Honest question.

You still have a lot of growing to do at 24.

I am child free. For a few reasons including work, relationships and just being prepared in general.

No need to have a vasectomy when you can simply punch the woman in the stomach.

Don't want the responsibility and having to worry about them getting hurt ect. Plus I travel alot and will be doing so for the next 30 years, kids would tie me down.

also,

OP, can't you just pull out on time, why castrate yourself?

I'm 4 years older than you and had a kid this year. Being a father opens a whole new dimension of the beauty of life.

Would never get a vasectomy. No children yet, but once I start having children I don't plan on ever stopping. Of course, I have no idea what I'm talking about, but it's my plan for now.

Unless you are sentenced to a traveling jail for 30 years you can't be certain about anything for so much time ahead!

You either went full retard 4 years ago or trolling greasy, in any case it's your life.

Why get a vasectomy if you don't want kids? I can imagine doing it when you've already had 2 kids and you're sure you don't want more, but you can never be certain of something like that at 24.

There's plenty of contraceptive options that work that are less permanent, y'know.

Its not that unusual a lot of people have vasectomy's at this age.
Also it can be reversed if I wanted it to be.

They can reverse the vasectomy now-a-days, so its not like he's fucked forever...

However, as a parent, watching my child grow has become the most rewarding time of my life. I wouldn't trade that for all the money or freedom in the world!

And that is a "tru starry brah!"
