Why The U.S. Is Doomed...

Deliguy, I would prefer a national sales tax over the current income tax, then everyone supports the government. However, the income tax does tax those that are productive, and those that are paying for the government should have the say in that government. We already set limits on voting by age and citizenship, why not by tax paying status?

It sounds like you believe that there is a secret club with a special handshake that they let everyone join once they get old enough, like the AARP or some shit but with power.

Reality is nothing at all like that. Money drives it all, Age plays no part. productivity doesn't even play a large role; because the only productivity that counts is that of lobbyists.
 
I def agree that change is the only constant and that the following generation is fux0red...but don't you think that the children of those people will just inherit their parents' positions at the helms of the megacorps?

Again there is no old dudes club!

It's not something that is passed down bloodlines, either... It's simply required of the position.

At least with Public corporations, it is REQUIRED BY LAW to forsake everything else but profit when you are running the show. A good-hearted teenager could go into the CEO position of one and find he has exactly two choices:

1. Abandon all ye principles and screw people for their money.

2. Have the board can his ass faster than you can say "no pension."

It is 100% IMPOSSIBLE for the system to change unless the US Constitution is changed to stop Corporations from having so much power.

...And sadly while the system is like this, their money says how the system stays. No amount of public outcry or good-heartedness among senators is going to change Jack Shit about this... Those senators were put their by and for the Megacorps, and they have no choice but to vote for keeping things the way they are now.
