I've heard a couple people say that generating traffic from websites like Fiverr makes your website see spammy in a way thus hurting your rankings. Is this true? Though I see how it could be, I have a hard time believing that traffic of any sort would hurt your rankings. :banana_sml:

I don't know about fiverr, but we've been using ultimatewebtraffic and trafmasters since last year and our rankings haven't really gone down. It fluctuates, but that's just normal.

Fiverr talks about thousands of hits in $5... Do you really think its a good idea to buy traffic from there? Man save your website... those ways of generating traffic are pure spammy... and sure hurt your website in terms of SERP

Fiverr seems a little shady to me, but I've never tried their services. I've tried webtrafficgeeks, trafixtech and another source that i forgot with varying results before, but no penalties as far as I could tell.

I think so. Since Fiverr is somewhat shady, then any traffic from this site will also be considered as spam...:)

Fiverr traffic wouldnot rank your gig and would not have any other benefits that converts to orders. I believe that traffic to your gig with no orders would be worse than having little to no traffic and no orders.

Well the tough part here is that Fiverr probably has multiple gigs for traffic, and each one could be completley unrelated. Therefore, it will depend on the quality of the traffic from each source, but I feel like traffic source is harder for google to rank by compared to other website properties.

One thing to keep in mind is that search engines do look at bounce rate as an indicator of whether a website is high quality or not. If the traffic is low quality and leaves the page instantly, and if that in turn causes your bounce rate to skyrocket, then it could have a negative affect but again its hard to say with how fickle search engines can be.

Some of the gig in fiverr are not good quality specially for seo traffic gig.. Im not sure why but it hurts when you buy gigs and it doesnt give possitive result to you

Buying traffic is not a worthy step. Do proper seo and promote it through social sites to get traffic. Surely it will look spammy as one day there will be thousands of user and other day there is none. search engine surely will look it as spammy site

You are right about the quality of the traffic. It's not really a Fiverr thing though as most sellers on Fiverr offering traffic gig usually use bots and spamming on forums network to achieve their traffic.
The behaviour and pattern would surely differ from using proper SEO

So true... That's why it's compulsory for you to ask whoever is selling traffic to you for SEO purposes the source(s) of the traffic.
Make the seller know that if you find out he or she wasout being dishonest about the source or on anything related to making you hire him that has an impact on your SEO, you would call him out on it and report him to CS.

I have purchased backlinks on Fiverr before. But I stopped using their service because of the inconsistency. Sometimes you get great backlinks, but most of the time you only get backlinks from low-DA websites, which really frustrates me. It's a good thing I discovered Kallisto.io. A guest posting marketplace where you can find high-quality backlinks from real websites. The site has had a huge impact on my off-page SEO success.
