Detroit Files for Bankruptcy

I've been looking forward to this for a long time. Now is the chance that the corporations have been waiting for. They can come in and take over the city. They can rename Detroit to Delta City and start to build some awesome robots to patrol the streets and clean up crime.

I was thinking more mad max with tribal wars like on No Escape from the 90's.

Holy shit I haven't seen you around in here in years.

There is a boat load of cash to be made in detroit. If I lived a little closer I would probably become a slum-lord. Just buy houses in the 2,000 to $7,000 range and rent em out. No repairs just go around collecting moneies

Collecting rent money in Detroit? I would strongly advise against that line of work.

Thats a fantastic idea, I think you should go forward with it!

Oh, don't say "we," my friend. I've never voted, and never will.

But on a serious note, I get your meaning (I think). I just disagree with the implication that republicans are more inclined to run a tight fiscal house. On the contrary, they seem to be quite adept at spending money they don't have, running up the bills, and kicking the can down the road when they leave office. They just spend it on different stuff.

The politicians on point when the house of cards falls probably don't deserve all of the blame.

Having said that, I'm certainly no expert on Detroit. Perhaps the city has been operated for generations by democrats. I don't believe that destroys my notion that republicans can drive a city into the ground with just as much skill.

We're probably on the same page regarding economics. The other stuff, dems vs. repubs, is small stuff (to me).

When republican presidents have held office, they spent more than democrats, so you're right on that note.

But but but the affiliate tax was supposed to make them lots-o-interwebsmonies and create jobs. How did that not work out for them. *pretend srs face*

Maybe, but I don't recall cities going bankrupt or us having to bail anyone out either. That only happens when democrats have been in office longer then needed/wanted.

Who cares how much your spending, when your making shit tons of money come in.

Spending too much is only a problem when you having nothing coming in.

Yeah, I know, I've still been lurking a little here and there. Had some medical problems for a while and kinda stopped working on stuff, then sold off and shut down a lot of my old sites. Tried to build out some new stuff a year or so ago, but it didn't take off and then I ran out of funds for it.

Still hung onto a dictionary word .com and a few other decent domains that I picked up years ago. Now that I'm healthy again I'm trying to put my life back together and rebuild my empire.

Matt Cutts says dont interlink your 20 domains....

....detroit files bankruptcy....

Hello friend,

But many Detriot very poor. Instead of they pay government money in tax, government have for pay them money with welfare.

If very lazy it better to be poor in America. When poor you no have work and government gave you money free. But when rich you have to work hard and then government take away you money with tax.

Good luck bro

But Michigan has had a Republican senate for 30 years straight. How could this happen on their watch?
