The United States has 90 guns for every 100 citizens, making it the most heavily armed society in the world.
U.S. citizens own 270 million of the world's 875 million known firearms, according to the Small Arms Survey 2007 by the Geneva-based Graduate Institute of International Studies.
About 4.5 million of the 8 million new guns manufactured worldwide each year are purchased in the United States, it said. "There is roughly one firearm for every seven people worldwide. Without the United States, though, this drops to about one firearm per 10 people," it said.
India had the world's second-largest civilian gun arsenal, with an estimated 46 million firearms outside law enforcement and the military, though this represented just four guns per 100 people there. China, ranked third with 40 million privately held guns, had 3 firearms per 100 people.
Germany, France, Pakistan, Mexico, Brazil and Russia were next in the ranking of country's overall civilian gun arsenals.
The ratio of murders as a result of guns in America, contrasting the high U.S. average (11,127 per year with a population of 303 million) to other "First World" countries such as Germany (381, 82 million citizens), France (255, 64 million citizens), Canada (165, 33 million citizens), the UK (68, 50 million citizens) and Japan (only 39 gun murders, with a population of 127 million people).

but keep pretending that the guns are not the reason...
and again, im not anti-american.
i also criticize the corrupt goverment in italy in the hands of berlusconi or the ladida president of france who cares more about his private life than his country. i also criticized yeltsin at the time he was president in russia and always threatened other countries when the economy was stable but shut the fuck up very quick every time his country needed money. putin did a good job but the russians are still a underdeveloped country where only very rich or absolutely poor exists. i also criticized norway under the regime of those white power nut jobs where one of the congress woman was a ex porn actress. china is still keeping bloggers prison or kill them for writing bad about their goverement. not to talk about korea where you never hear anything because you get killed straight away instantly if you say something wrong.
again, i'am not anti-american. i really like this country i just dont like the government keeping the american citizens uneducated to keep them under control, spreading altered informations and statistics and dont even tell america what they really do with all that money... did you ever asked yourself where 70 trillion dollar every year going to keeping the country deep in debt and why you have to pay a lot of money to get an international comparable average education for what you have to pay nothing or near to nothing in every other country?
i love my american buddies, i love the american company i work for and i love the american lifestyle but i'm criticizing your government and they way you just let them do what they do: keeping you quiet and frightened to open your mouth against them.
