Jon, in regards to the Pharma section, what if the WF one also included or more heavily discussed the non-Rx side of the business? There are tons of new vitamin supplement products all the time that are availalble for affiliates to sell.

WF is the only forum I visit and I think this would be a great addition for your members. Personally, I've been involved heavily with non-Rx product for the past 5 years, and did Rx for about 2 years before that.

While I'm totally in favor of adding the adult section, I think the Pills category is easier for affiliates to get into and has a broader appeal to many.

Would it be possible to start a nitce area and vote on whatever market we want to have? Financial, Adult, Pills, As seen on TV, etc. Maybe add a new one every 3 months or so.

Non-Rx isn't as high risk though as say Adult or Pharma though, so it can technically be considered affiliate marketing. But I do see your point. It's something I'll consider. It's just that for every new section that is made here, it kinda bogs down the place and broadens it rather than keeps it close together and bunched up, which is what I personally like about it. I'd also need to find people to moderate it that are more or less near "expert" status for that industry/niche. The only ones I know personally are the boys from JoeBucks.com, but I can't put them in charge, because WF has to remain neutral within the space, and it may pose a threat to the quality of content and opinions of the users and information.

Whatever, we'll see.

GFY was one of my favorite forums of all time when I was in the adult industry. Trust me, that's the place I've been sending people who want to know more about adult. I also liked Netpond but was more into Xbiz because I was friends with Helmy and those guys.

You're an idiot if you really don't think WF has more people who make more money than any other forum I know of. The avg user here is the medium-high level earnings affiliate, not the newbies. We've actually killed off a TON of newbies over the last 3-4 months and sent them packing to DP or SPF. Just because you suck doesn't mean everyone else does too. But hey, to each their own buddy. ;)
 
Well, mixed feelings on an adult section. On one hand, it's certainly nice to have all topics on our industry in one section, but what I really enjoy about WF on the other hand is that it isn't focussed on any industry, the broader approach.

Adult can learn from mainstream and the other way round and I the mixture on WF. My concern would be that making an adult section results in adult webmasters staying there, while others tend to avoid it. Maybe I'm wrong, that's the only negative point I can imagine.

As for GFY: It's a great adult forum, but it's sometimes very annoying if you are looking for real business instead of drama, self promotion or spam for the "newest, best converting, ruler of the world affiliate program". That's something WF with it's more mature community, without all the surfers, could provide...so as I said, very mixed feelings.
 
I'm not against boobs, but I'm not sure where the benefit would be to the users at WF.

UNLESS, adult sites convert in a different way. But if that were true, then it's safe to say that you'd have different sections for all kinds of niche markets. Doing so would only water down WF.

Jon, I would surely say yes. Adult category is the foundation of internet. Half of $$$ online is from this industry. The pillar of xxx (Porn, gambling, Pharma) is billion $ industry.

Hell yeah I support you makin special section about this in WF

as a smut peddler and active member of several adult industry boards, I don't think adding an adult section would enhance this board... at best you're going to attract small timers and idiots who don't have 2 nickels to rub together, and have them talking shit and giving bad advice...

if you can bring in some affiliate program owners and other experienced adult industry people that would be willing to help out and give honest advice it might work out... but good luck with that...

I started coming here because this is a mainstream board... I already have over 15K posts on adult webmaster boards... not looking to add another one...

anyway, keep this place mainstream... my 2 cents...

btw, it sucks that as soon as I start posting here my access to half the forums gets cut off :(

now why would you send anyone to GFY? it's a shithole these days... most everything posted there is useless garbage now... people are better off shooting themselves in the head than reading GFY... jmho...

send them to netpond or adultinsider instead... those 2 boards are more noob friendly anyway...

I haven't been around in a while. Didn't want to make a new post, but wondering is this adult section up yet? One of the new hidden premium sections or something?
 
I think an adult forum would be nice. Somewhere to talk about adult affiliate marketing away from the GFY trolls.
 
I say go for it if for no other reason than it'll be fun to read also I expect the boobies per post ratio to rise
 
i vote "No". it will spread this board to thin. Stick with what your known for, and there are already WAY to many adult forums.
