Any of you see a Chiropractor regularly for Back/Neck pain?

I have found my chiropractor to be very helpful so far. My xray showed a really messed up spine. I would wake up at night from what felt like a disconnect in my spine. That sensation has gone away and I don't worry about my back anymore. I would say my quality of life has improved. I tried two chiropractors before and they were so phony I couldn't handle it. I think like a lot of things it came down to finding the right person. I think alternative medicine can be good but there are those who take advantage of it and are quacks for the most part. At the same time there are alot of MDs who miss the picture and I feel can't be trusted.

Wish I had stayed with the chiropractor. I've had two spine surgeries, and the last time he torn the durum on one of the nerves. Now I have chronic nerve pain. It will never heal.

Been there, done that, made the threads.

Here's what brought my pain from excruciating to almost zero in two years:

Drugs- oral steroids for the immediate injury and then later Savella for the chronic pain (do a search in wf for my post on that)

Egro- Fix your sitting situation. Make the angle of the screen appropriate. If you have two make sure you have both as close together and to the center as you possibly can. Keep your elbow touching your ribs. Invest in an egro mouse. The one that's like a joystick did almost immediate wonders for my wrist. and most of all GET AN EXERCISE BALL. I can't stress this one enough. Not only is it the perfect chair (cushions your ass unlike anythng else out there and forces you to sit properly) you can take a break and stretch on the ball in ways you will never ever be able to stretch without it. I'm serious, if you skim everything in my post, get yourself a fucking swiss exercises ball k?

and then of course any type of core exercises will strength the area. But don't even attempt these until the inital injury is mostly healed.

Again, I've suffered back and neck pain for 20+ years, it's pretty much eradicated as of this moment due to all of the above.

(and dump the chiropractor, not only are they complete quacks, he actually injured me further. I mean who the hell attempts to forcefully move an area with constant swelling? A quack chiropractor that's who)

I hope you haven't been taking Steroids for 2 years! They are awful for you and should only be used temporarily.

I went to one a few times to help with back issues but it never did much.

I started going to a therapist that does Thai massage yoga and it has worked wonders for me. It is a combo of assisted deep yoga stretching and message work. I haven't felt this limber or pain free in a long time. Would definitely recommend it.
** my issues are more muscular and posture than they are bone or alignment issues

I have a couple friends who have been helped by chiropractors. Years ago, medical doctors tried ban chiropractors. After that was unsuccessful, they tried to limit the practicing of chiropractic only by licensed medical doctors. If the medical cartel AMA is trying to ban it, it must be helpful in some way.

Your logic muscle broke, my friend.
Such an absolute statement can only be 100% incorrect, guaranteed.
Try to be more reasonable, you will appear to be more believable.

The AMA is a cartel. By nature, they try to limit competition. Did you know that medical schools can't open without AMA approval in the US?

Once your healed up you should start weight lifting. Deadlifts are awesome to strengthen your lower back as long as your form is proper. If you're sitting for that long you need to get some exercise.

+1 for a swiss ball as well.

Settle down before you call someone a fatty. Been bodybuilding for the past 10 years. I work out 6 days a week. 45 min workout with 20 min of cardio every time.

Don't ever assume anything about me.

Next time ask permission to speak to me.

lol.......calm down fatso
