Anyone else enjoy the Jeremy Lin show?

CMON SON NONE OF THEM PASS BETTER THAN RUBIO.

Rondo?!?! He has a team basically built for assists. Rubio has way more talent than him. I would be getting assits too if i had peirce, garnett and allen. Chris paul somewhat close to rubio but i still give rubio being the better passer. I think rubio averages more.

I agree he's a great passer but I was looking at the whole package instead of the one criteria we were arguing about. My bad.

Remember you're comparing a rookie who's only been in the NBA for less than 30 games against vets who won a ring and another who's arguably the best point guard in the NBA.

I have no doubt he will become an elite player but when it comes to overall talent, rondo and chris paul have an edge. In terms passing, he's definitely up there.

Without looking on stats, I'm pretty sure rondo and paul are top 4 in the league.

EDIT: Rondo (2nd), Chris Paul (3rd), Rubio (tied in 4th place with Calderon).

Like I said, he will be an elite player some day but when it comes to overall talent, Rondo and Chris Paul have stats to back it up.

Something that happaned to him when he was 18. Not even in the nba. Thats your argument really?!?!

LMAO!

Stephen Curry was 20 on that game so age isn't really a difference.

Stephen Curry is smaller and quicker which is why he can cross him and run faster than him.

But that doesn't mean Rubio sucks, it's just that smaller players have an advantage over him.

actually no. Rubios wingspan gives him an advantage over the smaller players.

The one strong memory I have from that tourney is how bad Chris Paul/D. Williams abused Rubio in the first game. Rubio fared slightly better in the second.

Let's see, in the first game Williams shot 5 for 10, 3 assists. Paul shot 3 for 5 and had 8 assists. Rubio played 18 minutes and had 3 steals.

In the gold medal game, Rubio played 29 minutes and had another 3 steals. Kidd, Williams and Paul shot a combined 5-11, and had 6 assists total. Stats aren't everything, but if we really took a 17 year old who "can't defend" and gets "abused" on defense, there's no way the top point guards in the world wouldn't end up with much better combined stats against that person.

Coach K isn't stupid. If Rubio really sucked on defense in the first game, the scoring attack in the next game would have been point guard based when Rubio was in. Instead they ended up with their point guards taking only 11 of the team's 65 shot attempts.

In terms of pgs (considering entire package as a player, D etc)

Rose>Paul=Dwill>nash=westbrook>curry=Rondo>Parker=Rubio=Lowry=Lawson=Irving

Maybe you can put Lin in the group after Rondo now.

Olympic games are very different from games in the NBA. It doesn't show a true player's talent. :p Chris Paul back then isn't the same as he is now.

Anyways, rubio is a rookie. This is his first year and is off to a good start. Even if he couldn't play D, he's good at other things. We all know he's headed to the right direction considering what kind of team he has and how good his coaching staff is.

IMO, Derick Rose is in a different level than those guys and I would even compare him to Kobe, LeBron, Durant etc.

In terms of the best point guard in the league, I would go with Chris Paul. :)

talentless retard?

Nobody has ever called Tebow "talentless." The only thing critics have said is he can't throw the ball, he clearly has talent.
.

Seeing as he's the fucking quarterback, he should learn how to throw a football. Guy can't throw a spiral to save his live (but I guess he's been saved already)

and also you know westbrook throws better stats then derrick rose. Is westbrook better than rose?

I've only put on emphasis on stats because we're comparing a rookie who's only been NBA for 3 months compared to veterans who's been in the game for years.

Comparing derrick rose and west brook is totally a different argument from rubio and his passing abilities to other players alike.

How is rondo a better passer than rubio? I would like to know. Only way you would know rubio is better is if you watched them both play.
Rondo put a couple nice passes on the floor vs the Bulls on sunday, I do know that.

To me, this year, Rondo is a better player.
But Rubio I went out of my way to see, you pay good money to witness players like Rubio. Probably only 10 players who are really worth it.

Just off the top of my head, Id pay big bucks to watch Lebron,Rose, wade, durant,Kobe, Rubio,Dwight and Griffin. maybe paul,Dwill and nowitzki

IMO, no player in the league has a good enough combination of star power ie. marketability, wow factor, and overall skill/potential
