I've been wanting a CTS-V or a BMW M5 for awhile, but promised myself not to buy one until I can easily pay cash for it. For those of you unfamiliar, the -V model of the CTS is a 550+ HP supercharged luxury sedan w/ a 6 speed manual transmission. Fun.

Then the other day, I ran into a company called Hennessey Performance that does a bunch of aftermarket stuff to them, bringing the HP up to 700-800+ depending on what package you have them add on.

Check this video out of a 700HP Cadillac running a mile @ 185mph (top speed is 212, 0-60 in 3.3). You have to watch it w/ volume to fully appreciate. I have a major thing for luxury cars with monster balls, and this is completely bad ass:

More vids here if you're interested (in one they trigger the onstar collision alert by pulling off the line so hard, heh):

Obviously I love Audis, but I like to have speed + luxury not one or the other. I like m5. m6?

This must be a few yrs old. I can't remember when they moved the horsepower up (maybe 2009), but the older ones were around 400 hp and the newer ones are about 550 hp. Curious to see if they've refined any of the other issues he was talking about since this was made.

Yeah, that was on about 5 years ago if I remember rightly.

this one is nice to , the fastest small car ever seen:)

disregard CTS-V acquire Mercedes E55 AMG /thread

Merc power > uncomfortable ass BMWs > shittily designed CTS-V interiors

The CTS-V is like a Casio G-shock, its a great watch, it does more than the Rolex but in the end its a Casio, it will always lack the statement a real LUXURY car will make :)

Jaguar XFR > CTS > M5. Im bias because I have a 2010 XFR but the car is bad ass and has more power than you will ever need or use on the road. And its sexy as hell.

What year is your XFR? How is Jaguar since becoming a Tata brand?
