I have a serious question.

Why is Pewep still here?


Also, why have cpauser and holodomor not been banned yet? What more do you guys need to see from them to take action?


There was a time when the Mods here exercised their authority to maintain a certain level of discipline, fear and quality.

That time has long passed obviously, but as Mods, don't you feel sort of, I dunno, disempowered by allowing this garbage to float to the top and dominate the scene?





This is part of why I would never accept a mod position if offered. I'd make the night of the long knives look like an 8 year old's birthday party at McDonalds.

I think maybe its one of two things or both:

1) The mods think it is "cool" to play along with trolls
2) The mods do not want to be seen to react to trolls

Rather than banning though, it would be far better to provide the ability to actually ignore him. I have him on ignore but all this does is remind you you are ignoring him. If his threads were removed from new posts at least, and his posts were completely hidden from the threadview, then that'd probably be good enough. If enough people ignore him he'd stop posting, as it's clear he carries it on to get attention.
 
Yeah, but this is not rocket science. You just remove the guy and move on.

Guys like this rarely made it 12 hours before, now they become permanent fixtures. Pewep in particular has been banned and unbanned more than anyone in the history of this forum. Why would anyone in their right mind unban him?
 
I suspect banning him is futile, he's the kind that would pay for proxies to get around IP bans

Banning pewep would be like the government censoring Kim Kardashian. She's fucking useless but people can't get enough.

Like I said in a previous thread, the problem isn't pewep. The problem is that some people on this forum can't get enough of him. If everyone just ignored him, he would go away. But alas, they're incapable of ignoring him and so he lives on.

I agree with you, guerilla, but if most WFers feed the troll, this thread, coming from you, is the royal feast.
 
Okay, I realize I'm not a WF veteran and therefore not as qualified to speak on forum policy reform, but I'll throw in my 2-cents anyway:

I've been on reading this forum on and off for the past couple years, but only started becoming more involved in the past couple of months. Why? Because WF has a sort of "Wild-West" "anything-goes" mentality that I find refreshing. It's fun to see highly informative posts and advice from people that are actually making REAL MOVES - and at the same time, the humor level on this forum is unlike anything I've ever seen in an IM hangout. It's gotten to the point where I've abandoned most of my regular IM haunts in favor of this place. It's the only site where you can watch a case study of someone building an online empire RIGHT in front of your eyes, get in a philosophical debate, and chuckle at troll-like stupidity all at the same time.

Members like Pewep help balance things out. If we didn't have comedic relief, things would get stagnant. We need the class clown to stir things up, especially in between talking business or studying. Go to WaFo, and you'll NEVER see as much diversity, cleverness, perversion, or overall brillance as WickedFire.

In fact, I'll say this: Pewep is one of many reasons I started lurking here more. It's fun to watch him get shat on, and it's equally fun seeing how much he can disrupt the orderly world of serious marketers. It's fucking hilarious. To see guys that make a living on the cutting edge of information technology getting butt-hurt over the inane ramblings of an emotional prankster is amusing to me, and I suspect other people feel the same way as well. If nothing else, Pewep has shown a serious side as well, which is more than a lot of "drive-by" members can say.

Anyway, just wanted to share a "fresh" perspective on things...

Don't mind me.
 
I simply ignore them. But since others are totally retarded and don't, they flourish. So obviously the forum does want them.
