My "last" two cents:

This thread reminds me of the american public... If they were smarter they'd just ignore their government into oblivion, just like wickedfire would ignore pewep into oblivion.

Rather than banning though, it would be far better to provide the ability to actually ignore him. I have him on ignore but all this does is remind you you are ignoring him. If his threads were removed from new posts at least, and his posts were completely hidden from the threadview, then that'd probably be good enough. If enough people ignore him he'd stop posting, as it's clear he carries it on to get attention.

I'm pretty sure there's some sort of weird clique or something similar when it comes to the "popular" trolls on this forum as of late. I can't be bothered to investigate beyond this hypothesis, but that's the only way I can explain it so far.

I definitely agree this place has gone to shit. Traffic and Content is almost embarrassing at this point, no one is policing shit threads and moving them to newb section. I don't even check the newb section anymore to help people because I feel like maybe 1 out of 10 posts is worth even reading.

Back in the day, people would just get banned and there wasn't a damn thing you could do about it, which was pretty groovy actually. The fear kept everyone somewhat in line. I would imagine this has stopped because as was said earlier in this thread, most of those mods have just moved on. Think about it, I joined 5 years ago, a lot of you joined 2 or 3 years before me...and I've seen like 3 mods get added in that time? .Hack, Ice, and Zingo (I had to go fucking look Zingo's name up it's been that long since I saw him last).

If Jon cared, he'd go through and pick 5-10 of us who are really active and make us mods.

The size of that IF is gigantic though, and from what I can tell, the changes coming soon are only going to cause a lot of us to pop so much damn popcorn and watch this place burn.

I do agree that i'd like to see more marketing talk and less nonsense.
 
Honestly, the whole constant troll shit from pewep was annoying. He got on my ignore list awhile ago.. With that said, it's still irritating seeing the "you have blah blah on ignore". I don't know why, but it god damn is.

Someone industrious should write a browser plugin or greasemonkey script to just completely remove posts by banned users. Shouldn't be too difficult.
 
I assumed pewep was just one of the mods here trolling everyone for shits n giggles.

That fucker needs some help...between trolling Wickedfire, Reddit, and third eye on my head forums how the hell does he find time to do anything else? Sorry Pewep, I think you're a nice guy (albeit you're annoying as fuck and you waste a lot of valuable time) but you've got to go. No person should spend as much time as you do fucking around on anything. A lot of people would be super millionaires on this forum if they could add the time that you spend trolling to their days and use it for working.
 
I wish there wasn't any concealing your real life from your online life and vice versa. Tons of problems solved.

I'll take dchuk for a mod. I'm happy with most of the existing active (keyword active) mods, but we need fucking Django to clean this place up. No remorse!

I'd be fine moderating some of the subforums so long as my activity in the bst isn't a conflict of interest

Whether you agree with him or not, one thing is very certain anytime you read a thread that G has posted in, and that is you'll likely learn something new. Oh, and I'm pretty certain that pewep is an alt account of someone who holds significant weight.

and I think I would have done a better job in Die Hard 3 than Jeremy Irons. Don't get me wrong, I like the guy, but I have a more evil deeper sounding voice. And I'm taller.

And I know you're not supposed to start sentences with "and."

Guys like this rarely made it 12 hours before, now they become permanent fixtures. Pewep in particular has been banned and unbanned more than anyone in the history of this forum. Why would anyone in their right mind unban him?

I wanted him unbanned because when he was banned it was harder to know who he was.
