Breaking Bad - [SPOILER ALERT]

Walter obviously kills Skyler and elopes with Marie. Walt Jr. crashes and his car explodes.

Bought Season One and watching it now. Don't watch TV in general (Italian TV is utterly hideous). This I like a lot.

Got to admit ... there are some really good American writing teams. Arrested Development was brilliant.

Skyler is a cunt. Walt should pull his pistol out and shoot her in her fucking head, which Mike needs to do already btw.

Skyler sucked in the first few seasons, but now Walt's the dick and I feel for Skyler. MORAL AMBIGUITY!!!!!!!!

Fuck that noise. Skyler is an ungrateful little bitch. She cheated on Walt, nearly got her lover killed after she stole 650,000 from Walt to give to the other guy, and then has the nerve to act afraid of Walt.

I can't WAIT to find out what Walt does with that big ass gun he had in the trunk of his car at season start. BOOM.

Each season there's been a big boss that Walt (i would say jesse too, but walt is the star) has to overcome.

this presents the big question who is going to be the big boss next season, my 3 guesses:

Hank: There's been a lot of tension already of Hank getting close. It would be a nice way to end the show of how far Walt will break bad if he has to kill his brother in law and possibly ruin his family in the process.

Jesse: The season finale is enough for people to assume there will be a big fight between them, again. Plus Jesse now having some killings under his belt he's a stone cold bad ass as much as Walt now.

Mike: Gus's main bodyguard. What happened to him, huh? They told way too much of his story to cut him off like that. He's 100% coming back as a character and you just have to wonder how important of a character he will be.

yes im a breaking bad nerd, best show on tv

your predictions have all been wrong.
walt has to overcome walt :(

Walt created a superior product to fill a market demand, same as any other business. I'd become an asshole too if the war on drugs prevented me from pushing my product that people want. People have died in the show not because of Walt, but because of people like Hank.

^^ I'm not sure how people can still view him as the hero. The whole point of the show is that Walt becomes an irredeemable asshole.

He's an antihero.

In fiction, an antihero[1] (sometimes antiheroine as the feminine) is generally considered to be a protagonist whose personality can be perceived as being villainous and heroic at the same time, in contrast to the more perpetually noble characteristics of an archetypal hero or the perpetually immoral characteristics of an archetypal villain.

Unlike traditional heroes, antiheroes are not as fabulous as the traditional ones. They may be corrupt, oppressive, etc., or may merely have no unusual qualities whatsoever (the common definition). They are not villains but not necessarily heroes. They may do bad things but are not evil. They may fight villains, but not for the reason of justice, or if it is for the cause of justice will take an "ends justify the means" stance. Their actions are motivated by their own personal desires, such as revenge. For example, an antihero may steal, vandalize, and perform other "bad" acts but may do so for a good cause or even an unexamined motivation.

Yes he's doing bad shit, but he was always doing it as a dude who is dying from cancer who wanted to give his kids a better life. People can relate to that.

Of course now it's starting to change a bit, because in doing so he's pushed away the very thing he was trying to protect.. So wouldn't surprise me if we now gradually start to associate with Walt less and less, to the extent we fully support his opponent(s).

I keep waiting for the moment Walt goes absolutely batshit crazy and starts his own gang running the meth distribution, with him at the top.

Ended up pretty much there.

His 52nd birthday is presumably when he dies, i.e. the clips we saw at the beginning of series 5.. Although we're not going to see that until next summer. Certainly I can't see a year passing by the end of this series (2 episodes away..).

Looks like he's going out in a blaze of glory anyway, and who knows who it'll be against. We've just had some new "big guys" introduced to the scene.

There's also Mike and Jesse. Jesse doesn't have it in him to successfully take Walt out I don't think.. Skylar I don't think can die, so far as she's the one protecting the kids and such - not entirely sure where that's going. There could be a suicide I guess.

I think Hank will discover Walt too, although it may be after he's dead. Alternatively, it's just as likely that Walt ends up having to kill Hank. Walt's not exactly his biggest fan, and that's been highlighted on numerous occasions with the tone of voice Walt uses with him.

Maybe Walt ends up having lost/killed everyone around him, and then the whole thing ends with him getting his comeuppance in the big arms battle at the end? Maybe that's even against the police as a final stand?

He certainly won't die from the cancer, although at some point that's going to start making a return I expect.

Whatever it is there'll be a happy ending, cas it's American, and American audiences don't like anything without a happy ending.

I'm pissed off that I have to wait until the end of next summer to see how it all pans out though. Re-watching series 1-4 atm, too. Pick up on so many subtle things I missed first time round.

Walt Jr. is going bad. He can't be up to much good rolling in his new Challenger. I'd like to see him throw one into Marie while he's over there.

Great final season so far, but can't believe they will be finishing it in 10...

TUNE BTW...

This most recent episode showed us that revenge and pride are his true motivations, casting a lot of doubt on that original idea of just being a provider. I think he entered the business wanting to provide because that was the mold he was forced into by his family (mostly Skylar) but when he saw what kind of money could really be made, his true colors started to show. He doesn't give a fuck about anything but money and power.

The whole show is about a guy who made a bad business decision early in life, gave up and conformed to society and fell into mediocrity, and is now trying to take over the world with a vengeance because he hates what his life became.

Yeah I agree, it started out as some way to sort things out, but now it's become a FU to the world.

I wonder if it progresses to the extent he kills gretchen/her husband or something...
