Buy a juicer

This.
I had a juicer in the closet still new in the box from years ago and it cost less than 50 bucks. Gets the job done and I would recommend to anyone to get a juicer first over a blender because when you blend it it's much thicker and takes much longer to drink.

So if you are new a make a terrible tasting concoction it would suck ass to have to drink it from a blender. If your brew sucks from a juicer you can just gulp it and get it over with.

Biggest benefit for me is no longer having debilitating hunger after not eating for a few hours when I wake up to the point where I feel physically weak and shaky. Then stuff my body with empty nutrirentless junk and have no energy all day.

tl;dr juicing from a cheap starter juicer is exponentially better than not eating or getting big plates of fruits / veggies period.
Using a juicer means you miss out on all that fibre though, which most people don't get enough of. Smoother bowel movements, lower cholesterol ;)

lol @ you guys who can't get yourselves to drink a glass of juice.

Life is so hard here in merika

1. Yes, you absolutely must get use to the taste of eating raw. You don't have to like it but you do have to be able to stomach it. I personally don't like anything sweet in my juice, I like the vegetable taste... but more so, I like the feeling I get after I drink a really dark green juice. Feels like you slept 8 hours and your mind is cleared up. It's pretty noticeable after just 1 juice.

2. Clean-up REALLY depends on which juicer you get. I opted for one that's slow grinding so its much easier to clean (The Hurom juicer).. the fast/loud ones I think are harder cuz they splatter shit all over the place.

3. If you want more fiber in your juice, throw the pulp in your juice and mix it up.
Also, if you don't chew your veggies enough them you don't break them down to get all the nutrients (and most people don't chew enough).

Anyway, I'm on day 2 of trying to get back in it. I don't do a juice-only diet, I just drink one with every dinner and maybe I'll try transitioning to a juice-only dinner but I'm taking baby steps

Reason #381 I switched to blending. I use a Nutribullet, I literally spend 5 seconds cleaning it - just requires you rinse out the cup. When I had a juicer it was like 10 minutes of prepping (washing/cutting veggies/fruit) and then 5-10 minutes of clean up. With blending you just toss shit in and rinse out the cup when you're done, makes it way more practical.

Fuckkk that.

I really don't see much difference. You still have to wash your veggies. You still have to rinse out your blender. The only difference I see is the grinder which, like I said, takes an additional 2 minutes.

The real difference is in what you are trying to do and what you prefer. You get more compact nutrients (although less fiber) with juicing. Plus I'm not a fan of lumpy drinks.

Me too. I can't stand mixing the sweet, in with the veggies it's gross. That's why I like the lemons. It really makes it taste refreshing for those of us who can't stand the taste of raw bitter veggies.

There should be no lumps if you use a good blender like a Blendtec or Vitamix. Thicker, yes... lumpy, no. Even small berry seeds are often pulverized in my Blendtec.

lol at people complaining about the taste. you americans have such fucked up tastebuds from all the processed crap - veggies are delicious, i cant think of a single one that i dont like... apart from garlic, jesus christ i hate that shit

also if you don't like cleaning up stop being a peasant and just buy a new juicer everytime

I agree with the better health message, but when I read health threads all I can think of is...

lol

I bought a juicer last week and the first day I made a fruit/vegetable potion. It had plums, peaches, apples, carrots, and some kiwis. I drank a tall glass and later at night it felt like I was high almost, my brain was floating, it was very cool.

This is quite true as far the feeling goes.

^
thats a sugar high.

you're not really supposed to use fructose if you can help it, only to make the overall veggie vitamins and minerals not taste like death. i stick grapefruit in mine to mask the taste w bitter.

Chlorophyll rocks cocks.

may not know a whole lot about online marketing (yet) but goddamn I love me some juicing.

My Nutribullet is the greatest thing ever. Throw some pineapple, cranberry, banana, a shitton of kale and some water into the cup. Maybe add some chia seed or if Im feeling really ballsy, some Maca Powder (this stuff is over powering). Thats my favorite. Always good to rotate some carrots, avacado, other fruits.

Cleanup is absolutely breezy. Drink straight from the cup, wash cup. Done and out. Maybe throw a lid on it and finish it off later. Want to have one ready in the morning? No fucking problem. Get your cups, throw whatever you want into it for the morning, throw the blade on, stick that bitch in the fridge. Wake up, grab your cup, stick on the blender, breakfast in ten seconds. You didnt have to pull any produce out.

Best part, nothing is filtered out. You get every single thing you put into it. All pulp, skin, rinds, its all powering your day.

I dont care how cheesy those infomercials are. Blast those cells inside out. Love my fucking Bullet.

Oh and one more thing. As much as I prefer juicing, If you just want to juice fruits, don't get a juicer.

It can be more detrimental than beneficial because you've removed most of the fiber that helps mediate the insulin spike you get from fruits. So use a blender for the sweet stuff. (lumpy fruit drinks are much easier on the palate than lumpy veggies) ;)
