Doesn't matter if it was 20 years. If I know there are blood thristy insurgents roaming the streets and attack helicopters in the sky looking for said insurgents, I would use common sense and stay indoors as much as I possibly could.

Your not arguing about staying inside when war is being waged, your arguing about the civilians going to help the wounded while war is waged. If you were "sane" then you would go help your family and friends or countrymen when you see that they have been shot outside. If you were wounded outside, and someone came and saved you would you call them insane? Fuck no
Sigh.............The point of the matter is If you are a civillian and if you are in a warzone for ANY reason, there is a good chance you might get capped. The copter pilots WOULD NOT have unloaded on civilians if they would have known they were innocents. We have the most professional millitary in the world. I have known plenty of soldiers that have risked their own lives to keep Iraqi innocents out of harms way.
A warzone is all about killing the enemy first before they can kill you. If you go out into a warzone with tripods, cameras with telescopic lens and so forth than you up your chance to get shot and the poor souls that help you will probably get shot as well.
War is hell. It's hell because not only do soldiers die but innocents do as well. This isn't the first time innocents have died by accident and it won't be the last. It sucks but what can you do about it.

I have hated this war from day one, and never thought it was justified. I fucking hated George Bush for lying to the American people to justify the invasion, and I would have gladly seen him impeached and removed from office for it. I actually sympathized with the plight of the people we were fucking over, and felt guilty that my tax dollars were being used to fund it. Over the last year or so, my feelings on this whole thing have changed 180 degrees though.
In regards to this video, the pilots clearly believe the guys on the ground were insurgents with RPG's and AK's so I don't see the big deal about that part. They probably shouldn't have opened up on the van since it seemed obvious that they were trying to evacuate an injured, unarmed man. They also shouldn't have joked about the tank running over the body.
However, the guy trying to blow up a plane over Detroit a few months back was the last straw for me. That was a plane of civilians without any military target in mind. My daughter flew up here (into the same airport) from Dallas two days later and was scared to death and that's when it really hit home for me.
Islam is NOT a religion of peace, and anybody that makes excuses for them anymore can go die in a fire. Here is my message to Muslims everywhere - if you want the US out of your backyard, and if you want to be treated like everyone else, and want your religious values respected then do us all and your selves a favor - kill your zealots. It's your own fault that this is still going on, and it will never get better if you don't.
Every time you try to blow up a planeload of innocent people I hope a million of your Muslim brothers get raped by a bag of Jewish dicks and that your children are fed to pigs. If you stupid mother fuckers don't put your own people in check and stop allowing the violent Muslims amongst you to set the religious agenda for the rest, then you have no more mercy or sympathy from me, and I would imagine a lot more people are tired of your shit now too.
