Climate change? do you believe it?

The earth is over populated 3 times over, so its going at a faster rate. Climate change is the biggest threat to humankind in the next few years..

I'd love to see the source of your evidence showing proof of this claim. Why? Well, for starters...

^agree.population is not the issue. If anything, it's resource management and overall city planning that's the Issue. Civilizations aren't developing their infrastructure for long term sustainability.

I can't believe people are still pondering this question.

Yes, the earth's climate is perfectly normal. We haven't been experiencing weather breaking events / natural disasters every single year for the past decade. Nope, just humming along like normal.

It doesn't matter whether one believes it or not, a rational person will act according the least amount of likely possible negative outcomes. IE

If we do nothing and global arming is real, bad shit might happen.
If we do nothing and global warming is not real, nothing happens.

If we do something and global warming is real, and we fail to fix it (either through inaction or misguided action), bad shit might happen.
If we do something and global warming is real, and we fix it, bad shit won't happen.

Those are more or less the main possibilities.

Rationally, it makes sense to clean up / stop the shit we think might be causing warming.

So believe, don't believe, I don't give a fuck, just use your head.

The earth is over populated 3 times over, so its going at a faster rate.

Well that's just not true.

Yeah but I think it's natural, it's all part of a cycle which has been running from the beginning of time.

Climate change is real and if you dont believe it, frankly you're a moron.
How much us humans are actually contributing to it is the real question. In my opinion we contribute very little on the scheme of things, if the figures I believe to be correct are actually correct.
Major climate occurances have always happened in cycles and always will. Theres nothng anyone can do to stop it. It would be like trying to stop the wind, ridiculous and a complete waste of time.

Yeah but I think it's natural, it's all part of a cycle which has been running from the beginning of time.

And you don't think 7 billion people burning fossil fuels every day, burning wood for fuel and cooking, logging and burning down the rain forests, pumping chemicals into the atmosphere and farming millions of heads of livestock have done anything to accelerate or aggravate that cycle?

Past decade?

Take us back to the time before regular natural disasters - what year was that again? I understand that the Internet "shrinks" the world and news travels faster now and to a bigger audience, but you do realize the climate has always been changing right?

This reminds me of how every time there is a mass shooting people get all hysterical and freak out about how "this type of thing didn't use to happen so often", until you show them the numbers and point out that shootings have decreased almost every year for the last 20 years straight and that violent crime is at the lowest it's been in almost 40 years.

Fucking Internet.

Climate Milestone: Earth's CO2 Level Nears 400 ppm

I'm no scientist but the atmospheric CO2 concentration looks pretty bad to me. The highest it's been in literally millions of years? I guess what's left is whether or not you think having insanely high co2 levels will affect the climate/weather/etc negatively and to what extent.

P.S. I am not affiliated with Al Gore nor do I sell electric cars or solar panels. In fact, if everyone died, well that would be okay. I've just always thought the CO2 concentration thing seemed like pretty damning evidence in the whole global warming debate.

if you don't think humans are causing climate change then you got your head so far up your ass, it might actually make a good floatation device
