I just got off the phone with Grindstone and I think this is an awesome idea and I'll happily sponsor it.

Here is what we came up with for the contest and if you guys like it I'm down.
Goal:
He's right. In the end it's all about performance and making money. Use longtails, mediumtales, generic keywords. Whatever your strategy to help you win, go for it. No need to reveal your keywords or your secretsauces. Since most of WF has an AAO account I'll provide the stats for the contest. Use "Wickedfire1" as the subid in your links to enter your traffic into the contest. Person with the most leads to the contest offer at the end wins.

*Only conversion counts with the Wickedfire1 subid and traffic type SEO selected will be used in the reporting on the contest. If at any time you want to abandon the contest but want to continue making money change or remove the subid

The Offer:
My goal with the offer is to provide one that not only makes money but has a REALLY easy conversion point. Nonvolatile to quality reports and pay changes. Purely volume based. And most importantly, I want it to be something that has benefit to others (skin care?). Luckily I have the perfect exclusive:

Alert ID:
https://alertid.com/aao/lander2.asp
https://alertid.com/aao/lander5.asp
https://www.alertid.com/aao/lander4.asp
Offer ids: 3112, 3210, 3180, 3209, 3181
Payout $1.60/signup

AlertID is a free public safety service that allows people to put in their addresses and email addresses to subscribe to Amber alerts(Pedobear approved), weather and tornado alerts (I'm looking at you Oklahoma), and lets people know when pedophiles and other criminals move into your neighborhood (pace). The name of the game with AlertID is pure volume. Single optin no quality checks no chargebacks. Ridiculously easy to convert and multiple landers available for every keyword. It's a great way to make money+show off your SEO E-peen on WF+troll your neighborhoods in a good make them safer kind of way.

Prize:
Among the others offered up in the thread or whoever wants to throw in I'm going to throw down a mystery prize box myself in my typical fashion. I have an empty box sitting in my office. I'll decorate it as a Wickedfire surprise box and fill it with A. Hundo-aire cash. B. As much weird and cool shit from around the world as i can fit. Obviously there will be pressure to open the box when you get it and reveal the contents on the forum for everyone's amusement.

Would it be possible to get some kind of leaderboard up, with live (or semi-live) stats showing who is currently in what position in the contest? That'd be pretty epic.

To joint or not to joint, that is the question.

Fixed das a bit...

Can a few hundo in adwords credits turn a guy into a hundoaire and win the prize box?

Is there any way to verify that people are actually sending SEO traffic to this offer versus mailing or something else like that?

This is critical. Obviously if someone starts throwing thousands of dollars in PPC every day there won't be much of a contest.

I'm only in if it's purely organic SEO we're talking about it here. No PPC, emailing, media buys or anything like that should qualify.

and that is the problem. You would basically be going on the word of spammers and blackhatters. There is pretty much no way you can know for certain the traffic is organic

Nah man, the winner of this competition will definitely be a White Hat SEO executing a 3 year content marketing campaign.

Probably, if I was one of those network managers that couldn't tell the difference between adwords traffic and SEO. I'm not going to heavily police the contest or anything I'll just post the rankings every friday however dwight wants me to, but the obvious is easy to filter when it comes to mixed traffic. It's just for fun.

Just choose an offer where it wouldn't be profitable for them to mail it/ppc it etc. Or Eli can set the payout to 10 cents and donate the rest somewhere.

The prizes offered + bragging rights won't make up what it would cost for actual non-seo traffic.

Eli why don't you start a new thread with the rules, start/end date, list of contestants + their domain name, etc... like we did for the 1st contest.

I actually just wanted to help facilitate and sponsor the contest. I'll let my boy Dwight put whatever rules and specs/threads he wants on it. I assume he'll want to make an official start thread.

so what happens if you dont have an AAO act and; you have no intentions of using it beyond this contest?
